I wonder why...
Core/Eidos felt it necessary to use a different logo in different countries for the first 5 TRs? I have the US and UK versions of the first 3, and the logos are different in all of them. Check it out - US: UK: Seems odd to me. Do eidos think Americans don't like Times New Roman font? (don't yous??) Also makes me wonder, our raiders from other countries, what logo is on your boxes?

The TR3 In Game Thread
Nice one MsC! Just did Kaliya! Fiiinally. I hate that level It takes a lot of patience Here are my stats, although the time looks low, it actualy took me a lot longer because I was reloading a lot whenever I got hopelessly lost *suddenly corrects himself* Obviously, being a man, i was never REALLY lost.. Looking forward to Nevada p.s. Also was quite interested to listen to the cut scene after.. I didn't understand the plot at all the first time I played I didn't even know who this 'Willard' character was!

Also, in the game setup (the one you can access in the start menu), try increasing your resolution to 1024x786, if it's not already. From those pictures it looks like you're running it in 640x480 (once it's in 1024x786, your screenshots should be bigger, without the whiteness)

I think TR3 automatically assumes everyone has an american keyboard, and because the / is in a different place on the Portuguese one, it probably gets confused. You can bind a new key to sprint in the user keys bit

I'm not sure if you can do this on the playstation, but I found that once I adjusted the 'gamma' value in the options it got rid of a lot of the dark bits! Maybe adjusting the telly brightness/contrast helps?

Map Extravaganza: PART II
Who said sequels can't be better than the original?!? Well, I did actualy, and then I've proved myself wrong by finding this: the new, improved, and better, guestmap. There are three advantages to this map compared to the old one: - The old map allowed 100 guests, this allows 500. LCO is growing! - This map is based on google maps and thus, lets you ZOOM. You can place your marker ridiculously accuratley. (you don't have to tell us yer house number like.. just do it as accuratley as you feel comfortable with) - I can remember the login details for this map So to celebrate LCO settling on a new server, here's our new map: ---> http://www.mapservices.org/myguestmap/show...laracroftonline <---- Remember what I said about zooming!!! Also, to read people's info, click on the little heads Ps. If you place your marker in the wrong place and would like it deleted, please post in this thread asking. And for posterity, here's the old map: Here

Very cool This'll be useful! Thanks Tom

The TR3 In Game Thread
Well, it's quite a popular game! I think the general consensus is that it's the hardest too. I'm not sure what country you live in, but in England you can buy it for £2.99 (which is about$6.50), so it's not too much of a risk even if you didn't like it.

The TR3 In Game Thread
I thought to myself this evening "Ahh I'll just have a quick go on that quadbike level while I have some time". As I mentioned, I hate the level, so I just drove around like a headless chicken ...and ten minutes later I get an ending screen! So I'm kinda breaking my own rules here and 'racing ahead', but it was an accident! Anyhow, I have a busy week coming up so i'm going to leave it a little while til people finish off temple ruins and river ganges (and more!)

...that would solve the mystery then...

The TR3 In Game Thread
Just finished temple ruins, and wow!! For a 2nd Level that is pretty tricky if you ask me! I died a *lot*, and my current save count is in the ninties now! Some clever tricks and traps tho, I did enjoy it. (Well done Shresh by the way, your end of level stats there are superb! I can't believe I only found 1 secret..!) I still hardly remember playing the level. I would have thought this bit would stick in my mind: Aiii! that looks painful! I'm beginning to think TombCool designed this level?? I vaguely remember the next level (Not a big fan of the quadbike so I hope I can get through it quickly), and I also remember level 4 quite well - because I hate it! After all these clever puzzles they throw us in a maze.. bah.. This will be one of those moments where, if I were playing alone, i'd just give up, so i'll be looking for some support in here

The TR3 In Game Thread
Arghhhhhh.. I'm doing that bit at the moment, I keep rushing my jumps and falling I managed to do it once, and then , doh!! I hardly remember this level at all. It's so strange! All I have is a vague memory of those statues... arghhh! I guess it was about 7 years since I last played mind you!

Angelina got divorced
If it's true it hasn't been on the British news yet, but i'll keep an eye out for it!

The TR3 In Game Thread
These things never seem to happen to me Shresh, you're very good and finding the lil' bugs (and taking a screenie!!) Cool one. I hope to start level 2 tomorrow. Just a note to latecomers - don't feel it's too late to join, at any time! Even if you never catch up with the fastest people, keep playing and posting - we'll all have played recently so it'll still be relevant This also applies to anyone that 'falls behind'!

The TR3 In Game Thread
Feel free I mean, I don't want to be tellin' people when they're allowed to play so it's not rigid but I just want to emphasise a steady pace, and I feel it'd be more fun if we keep faiiirly close together. If you have the time tho', play on a bit by all means! And as to the other question.. I agree J7, Nevada first! And then.. London (eugh.. we'll need a support group with trained psychiatrists).. and then South Pacific, perhaps? Couldn't face doing London followed by Antarctica

The TR3 In Game Thread
Wow! I've been playing the first level again, I think I'm over half way now - Just got the fifth secret. I've really enjoyed it! I'd forgotten what a cool level it was. I'd also forgotten how many tigers there were.. ouch Most areas seemed familiar but I could never remember what I had to do, so I had to explore a lot again. Makes it almost like playing a new game for me, because I don't know how to do it anymore! Monkies Killed: 0

Excellent I'm so glad it's still being updated. I was worried after AOD it might be discontinued, which would be a big loss. The new design is fab!

Bridging the Gap - TLR > AOD
 I have to admit Shresh, I'd actualy forgotten that it was in the Great Pyramid where the ending took place, that makes the story even more plausible - and the TR Plot more daft!! Funny.. I'd never thought about it until this evening! Thanks for your comments and for reading!!

Bridging the Gap - TLR > AOD
This is my first ever fan fiction so bear with me.. Bridging the Gap What happened between the end of TR4 and the beginning of AOD? Finally, the truth revealed "Good to see you again Werner," said Lara, relieved. "I couldn't leave you!" replied Von Croy, as he reached to grab her hand. Suddenly with a crash, the temple door collapsed. Von Croy knew there was little hope that he'd ever see Lara again... Lara wondered wearily inside what was left of the Tomb. Days passed.. or so it seemed. Perhaps it was hours, perhaps it was a week. How does one count the days when sealed in the dark? Suddenly, she felt her heart skip. Was that light in the distance? It couldn't be.. A pale glow emitted from a wall far away. She carefully wondered towards the small light she had seen. It became clearer as she got closer. The light was a dim green, and on it was a mysterious ancient symbol... CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE MYSTERIOUS SYMBOL "Thank goodness for tourism," thought Lara. The Egyptian authorities had been forced to install fire escapes into all the ancient Tombs. She continued down the passageway and emerged into the sunlight. She rubbed her eyes and wearily ordered a hotdog and a 'I BEAT SET' T-shirt from a nearby souvenir shop, before hailing a cab to begin the long journey home. Fim.

What game should we play again then?
Glad yours all seem to be working! My Cd had an 'Irrecoverable Read Error' (I'm very skeptical as to whether Irrecoverable is really a word ), but I found another copy luckily*. I'm just uploading an image for BPanther too. If we're pretty much all ready then, shall we begin? I'm going to get going on it tomorrow evening if I finish me work. That sounds good! Be sure to take yer time like, I know some of yas can fly through this game. Let's try to make the most of it, discuss cool bits, take screenies, help each other. That kind of thing ..And maybe some of us can discover the mysterious secret as to why people like TR3...
