Ah, so true! It's so lazy of them! That takamoto fight totaly sucked. Imo, A better thing is having a puzzle disguised as a boss fight.. so you don't have to do all this 'bang bang bang jump jump bang bang bang' kinda thing to kill the boss. As a vague example - maybe you have to active some switches and then press a button or something, while dodging the bosses attacks, which activates something that kills him. Even still, I'd prefer just to have a really challenging level.. hard puzzles... Temple of Xian-esque.

Didn't like: The length Not being able to save anywhere. (I can see why they did it, it would have been even easier than it already was, but it's still annoying) The interactive cutscenes. It's great to see such spectacular deaths but I prefer to be a spectator Bosses. Never have liked 'em, never will Vehicles Everything else, I liked

I'm afraid they're most likely gone forever : ( It's worth trying the CD in several other CD drives tho'.. In some situations I've known that to work (some are more fussy then others. I once had a CD drive that could even read cracked CDs to a certain point!) However, even if another CD drive can retrive more photos, it sounds like most of the CD is corrupted : ( Sorry to hear that!

If it fills in the story blanks i'd be interested but otherwise.. to quote larsonsmother... DVD games are pants!

I can imagine him thinking, "bloody hell how many of these Tomb Raider games are there!" I'm lucky because my dad likes TR even more then I do, (I even caught him reading this forum once ) so 'Father Christmas' always used to get them for him (and me!)

Good luck with that My confession: I haven't completed TR1 either : ( I finally got into it once I got the Glidos program for my computer, which makes the TR1 graphics comparable to TR2, but for some reason I stopped playing (it might have been when I left to uni). I really ought to try it again some time!

After noticing in the other thread that not many chose TR1 as their favourite, it made me wonder... How many people on this forum played TR1 as their first TR game, and in addition, played it when it first came out? Not me I didn't even have a computer! But I'm sure there must be some [nearly] 10-Year raiders here?

Really suprised to see we only have one TR1 vote I know that's considered to be a classic, but maybe it suffers because it's dated more then the rest! Interesting that all the other games are quite even, (apart from TR5, which I always felt was more like 'TR4: Gold' then a real game) Still quite suprised about AOD but i'll bite my tongue If it brought some more people into the Tomb Raider world then that's a good thing!

I share your concerns, I usualy make sure i'm getting a good fresh one by getting mine from the pet shop rather then the market. They're usualy more tender too. Just kidding !! I'm strange with this. I don't like it when humans try to elevate themselves above other animals, because we're all part of the animal kingdom and humans are just another species. Having said that, I'm also very into the natural food chain and spent my teenage years trying to eat double the amount of meat as I normally would to make up for my (now ex-) vegan sister! And I really enjoy rabbit. The texture reminds me of chicken but the flavour is so lovely and rich!

Aye well said, it would be a real shame to blow this opportunity. I was just thinking earlier, how it will be a time consuming process to move the old TRs to the new engine and still make them play well. A lot of the challenge in the first 2 games is difficult jumps, and TR Legend makes every jump easy because Lara always grabs the edge if you're anywhere near, and the game is very forgiving to mistimed jumps. Think of the Temple of Xian, near the end, where you have to climb up those ladders snd backflip+roll in the air to grab other ladders and dodge blades. It'd be much easier in the legend engine, which would suck. I just hope they put some care into this kind of thing and find a way to make it as challenging as it used to be. Otherwise... wow I can't wait to see what it looks like. The Opera House was impressive enough in those old graphics, I'm dying to see* how it would look in modern graphics. *Well I am, but that doesn't mean you should rush it, if you read fansites, CD

Does anyone have this game (Rollercoaster Tycoon 3)? We just aquired it, and it's well good!! I always loved RCT1 and RCT2, (in fact, I still play the first one), but this new one is dead good. You can create rollercoasters and then ride them in the first person. For people who don't want to spend £89047583475 on the entrance fee to alton towers this is perfect!!

Definetly Takamoto. Maybe I was still getting used to the controls at this point but he was the only one to give me any problems really.

Ok I did some research and apparantly for the Command Line Support tool to work, you have to have WinZip Pro. Which they charge for. Hmmmmmm. Do you have emule or something you can use to 'obtain' a copy of winzip pro?

You certainly aint LM! I hate them! I voted for the snowmobile because that's the one single veichle I enjoyed didn't mind so much. All the others I hate, without exception. I feel like I'm whizzing along through the level missing things. It's Tomb Raider - I want to explore every corner! Not just fly past everywhere. I feel like in TR3 they were just adding veichles for the hell of it... so they could write MORE VEICHLES on the box. I would have been happier to see LESS VEICHLES but I doubt the game would have sold as much! Eidos haven't caught up with our advanced thinking!

You do have it - I can see it in your screenshot, but your computer is set not to display the .bat (which is normal). The file that's called CLI but without the .bat, is the one you need.

Yes that's normal don't worry. Now that you have a working one, unzip it, and in the qp folder, there should be a file called qp.exe. Run this!
