Attention Shrekies (Shrek fans) Shrek 4 and Shrek the halls http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=19663 While Shrek the Third isn't even out in theatres yet, the DreamWorks Animation team is already working on Shrek 4. When ComingSoon.net visited PDI (Pacific Design Images) in the Bay area recently, production designed Guillaume Aretos was really tight-lipped about the film, but he did say it was definitely in the works. "We know there is a 'Shrek 4' and I know the story. It's actually very good and very funny," he confessed. But, when asked if it's in pre-production, Aretos smiled and said, "I am going to use the Scooter Libby thing. I do not recall." We did manage however to find out a little more about another project called "Shrek the Halls," which is a half-hour Christmas special that will air on ABC. Art director Peter Zaslav told us that while there will be a couple of new characters, it will primarily consist of ones that we are already familiar with. "We're visiting some old environments and all the core groups of characters. It really integrates seamlessly, I think, with taking place where 'Shrek the Third' left off," Zaslay said. We couldn't help but ask if it was going to be anything like the "Star Wars Christmas Special." Zaslay laughed, "Hopefully not, unless it's cult classic kind of status. It's actually going to be on for fifteen years every Christmas. That's the plan. So it has to be visually and story-wise up with all the 'Shrek' films in terms of quality. So far it's looking really good." We also wondered about the spin-off with Puss in Boots. Tim Cheung, the head of character animation, admitted it is a possibility. "I think there's always been talk with these characters to [do it]. This is a huge franchise for DreamWorks so I think if all things line up, I think they'd be interested in doing stuff like that. I haven't heard anything yet exactly but I just work here. They tell me what to do." ComingSoon.net also got a sneak peek at footage from Shrek the Third which you can read about here! I'll stick with having the discs. If something was to ever happen to my computer(crash,need reformat,stolen,etc.) I'll still have the disc and won't have to pay again for it.

My recent picks thru netflix were Fight Club and The Dukes of Hazzard: the beginning Fight Club doesn't quite fit as a title for the movie. It is almost something else entirely.While I kinda enjoyed it,it wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Good script,casting,production,directing,ect. It was too different to be called Fight Club. The Dukes of Hazzard: the beginning This one is alot better than that theatrical version that starred Jessica Simpson. The casting is better yet I still have a couple of questions about who they cast for JD Hogg and Cooter.Christopher McDonald was certainly better than Burt Reynolds but not quite true to Boss Hogg of the series. As far as Cooter, I don't think is is so much as who they got but some of his dialog just didn't seem right. It made him apear a little "off" in the head. All in all Fight Club got a thumbs down and The Dukes came back with a thumbs up.

One guy at another forum had this to say about vista... I got my computer today, and with it came windows Vista. First off, let me just say, Windows Vista is very much faster than XP while logging, opening programs, etc. It does have an appealing design, and it does look very cool especially with that one feature that can flip through the windows you have open, but mostly it is a Pain In The Neck! I sincerely wish I had stuck with Windows XP or even gotten the MAC OS. The first thing I noticed was the DENY OR ALLOW window pop up Every Single Time I wanted to open up a program, and I had to do lots of fixing up to the Firewall and Windows Security in General. The next thing I tried to do was to connect my Vista Laptop with my XP computer.... NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! I stayed up hours upon hours trying to do everything to link those computers (Through wireless connections)! Talk about frustrating, and connecting a printer was beyond difficult. The network that I was on didnt even detect my other computer... The next thing is its "Backwards Capability" with Win. XP programs. Most of my games did not work on Vista, Morrowind for example, it is supposed to work with Vista, but yet, it doesnt! It will either give numerous errors, or just come out and say that "We cannot run this application" then morrowind closes. (there are some emulators that can make Morrowind run with Vista though). I also dont like the layout of the start menu. It is very hard to maneuver around the different programs with Vista, and also the button is a little small... It does come with some good games already installed on your computer though (Doesnt really matter) and it comes with Direct X10 which is state of the art right now. Vista also comes with a successor to Outlook Express called: Windows Mail; its basically the same thing except I had a hard time putting in my server settings without my other computer linked to this one... IE is much nicer with tabbed browsing and it is lots faster. The no. 1 thing I am worried about with Vista is like I said before, Backwards Capability - A very important issue.... Personally I will stick with XP for awhile . If need be,I'll take it to a local shop for an ungrade (video card,DVD-RW,etc.).

Ah yeah, Screamers should be on my "liked" list too. I agree,the animation made it a bit weird.

Recently took a chance and rented A Scanner Darkly. Since it is based on a novel by an author (Phillip K. Dick) who had other books made to movie that I liked,I gave it a chance. It was ok,just not my cup of tea. The ones I liked were Minority Report,Blade Runner,Paycheck & Total Recall,

RE:E did look ok,but then again, alot do and turn out kinda bad. If we look at the progress they did between RE 1 & 2 ,it should do good. Due to my hearing loss I can't understand most of the dialogue but tend to catch bits and pieces. I tend to focus more on the visual aspects. I can tell you this, The rider does give the "finger" a couple of times. Also it depends on what you would figure to be "a good movie". They mainly concentrated on the story as telling his origin and a little back story with the caretaker. I figure with that out of the way GR2 would have more action in it. Hopefully there will be a GR2. Now on to my new movie. I rented The Departed last night. It was great! I don't normally care for crime dramas but this seemed interesting. It kept things going even after I figured it was over, then I realized it wasn't. Then finally it ended rather...abruptly. All in all, it I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Well last night I went to see Ghost Rider and loved it! It was enjoyably fun to watch. The FX was top notch! One of the movie previews that was shown beforehand was Resident Evil:Extinction.

It would be nice. What would be even nicer is if they made the whole game all at once and we could play it the first time around.

Well I recently got my 23" widescreen monitor. I already knew that TRL was playable in WS but not the others. I started checking all of the games and lo and behold, you can. In the set up you can change the resolution to whatever your WS is at. For so long I didn't know it can be done, now i'm happy. Time to have some more fun and go Raiding all over again! w00t! Now I really can't wait for TRA to get here.
