Went to see 'Up' on Sunday - omg, what a fantastic movie - I really wasn't expecting it to move me, but move me it did. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend

It is indeed a lengthy book, as were the earlier ones - It could still easily be condensed into 1 movie and for a final movie, I'd happily sit through 3.5 hrs. What will happen is they'll drag out some of the unnecessary features to span it over 2 and this is what I don't agree with.

We saw it at the weekend and loved it too! I don't agree with the 'making 2 movies from one book' ending though - that's just pure greed if you ask me. I also watched Iron Man on DVD last night - didn't think i'd like it but I thought it was great, Robert Downey Jr is just luscious.

Yep, we enjoyed this one too - although some parts were hilarious particularly the speaking goat part! good stuff - looking forward to Harry Potter this month

I can't remember the last time I logged into chat - there never seems to be anyone there. There was a time (about 2003/4 I think) when there was always someone in to chat to. We used to have some laughs in there!

Well, I haven't seen that one yet - but I did go to see Knowing yesterday - I really enjoyed it overall although it is just slightly over the top towards the end and really loud in parts, one part in particular where the aircraft crashes down onto the motorway scared me to death - lol! I would recommend however, it's worth seeing imho.

so glad I didn't watch this on IMAX now this is what I call a Superhero movie - not like that crappy TDK and boring Superman Returns hmmmmm - I may just have to go and see this one!

oh dear oh dear oh dear.. I'm currently up to Valhalla on the PS2 and having trouble swingin off the blinkin hammer -I don't really know why I'm bothering with the game - throughout the game up to now, I've only killed a few guys, a panther, some sort of troll (which was quite scarey) but no spiders!!!! now for me, that's a good thing because I hate spiders,but I haven't once jumped out of my seat which I have on all previous TR's and it must be easy because I've played up to now WITHOUT a walkthrough. It's as if they've taken the environments from the WII game, taken out any puzzles and twists and enemies and brought it out as an acceptable format - well, it's not acceptable really - I'm pretty sure they could have done better.

I bought my PS2 version from Asda online for the bargain price of £12.97 - but I think it was a one-day only offer cos it's now selling for £17.97.

Has to add my little twopenneth worth here:- btw, Hi guys! haven't been around in a while - Happy New Year and all that and hope everyone is happy and well. Ok, I bought TRU for myself the day it came out on PS2 - I've been playing at my usual slow, pathetic pace and am currently at a level with the big Shiva statue. I'm not finding too many problems, like Ms Croft said, just glad of the opportunity to play the game at all. What is weird though, is there are no pickups apart from treasure - no medpacks etc. If Lara falls and loses some health, she just gets up, runs some and her health meter goes back up to full which makes it a bit easier for plebs like me but maybe too easy for hardcore gamers. Also, there is no walkthrough as such for PS2 anywhere to be found so I had a little trouble in the Kraken room trying to kill the beastie. I sort of glanced at the WII walkthrough as it's supposed to be similar. In one underwater level near the beginning, there were supposed to be sharks - well, I didn't encounter any and even if she got stung by a jellyfish, her health meter returned to normal again. There are lots of bugs so far, such as hands disappearing into ledges, camera angles not working, the usual stuff. Having said all that, I'm enjoying the game so far - it just seems as though the PS2 game has missed out on a lot of the little extra touches. Also, someone mentioned about a checkpoint, that was at the beginning of the level i'm currently on, I turned a corner, passed a checkpoint, ran a couple more steps and passed another checkpoint - hey, I'm not bothered - If i pass a checkpoint, I'm progressing so I'm happy. It's a far cry from the 'early' days when you became desperate for a save crystal (well, I did anyway) to avoid having to practically restart a level but a part of me misses those blocky movements (sidestep, standing jump, running jump etc.) - but heyho times move on! I'm giving it a thumbs up for now - will post more progress soon (please bear in mind I play about 1hr each week atm).

Thanks for all the advice guys - much appreciated. I may just hang fire - as the more I think about it, the more I realise I just haven't got the time to spare at the moment, not even to play the game, never mind get used to new controls. Hope you're all having fun playing anyhoo! (grrrrrrrrrrrr)

ok, I don't know if I can wait until January to play Underworld - I'm even avoiding the forum so's not to spoil it! I have always played TR games on PS2 - I'm not willing to invest in a PS3 as it won't be used - so I'm looking at maybe buying it for the PC as I have a high-spec machine now that can deal with it.. the trouble is...I've never played on PC and don't know if I can deal with the controls - I have tried a demo and was pretty useless - so, you guys who play on pc, do you just use the keyboard? a joystick? any input would be welcome. thx ppl!

It still says on Amazon and Play.com that it's released 21st Nov Fusion - Where did you read January? anyhoo, I'll have to wait til xmas to play underworld as it's on my list to Santa - I still haven't got past the centaurs in Anniversary so I don't expect to complete Underworld anytime soon but i'm still looking forward to playing on my trusty ole' PS2!

probably going to see Quantum at the weekend - I actually hate James Bond films - but I watched Casino Royale on sky the other day and loved it - probably just because of Daniel Craig though, who I've been in love with since watching him in Our Friends in the North as Geordie waaay back in the 80's.

we had a very nice break in Manchester, although it was bloody freezing! Andy's actually going back on Saturday for the big match! lol - we just got thrashed by Chelsea 3-0 though, I think our lucky reign at the top may be over! hope you had a nice time in Spain Cliffy, good to see you were drinking when you posted - lol! reign on Sangria!
