a final run-through
Wow! I hadn't done any searching to look for anything like that. That's certainly a nice little easter egg!

a final run-through
I got to the end. I think the DLC works well with the game, generally popping up at the right sorts of moment, not really any oddities caused by things being out of place. Still a good game overall. The ending of the last DLC . . . still feels like there's something missing.

what is this icon?
I think I might have asked this before and got an answer but I can't find it! Hidden City, Temple of the Sun. In the annotated map there's an icon which isn't present in my map. It's vaguely octopus-shaped, with really short tentacles, under the "T" of "TS", with 12 sort of WNW and 13 further away to the SE. I did this tomb/thing and it's not showing up. I have a vague memory that it shows up on PC but not on Xbox. Well, maybe that vague memory stems from it not being on the screen right now. Maybe it's something that appears later, it's quite a while since I did the game so can't remember!

a final run-through
Given the unlikelihood (is that a word?!) of the mysterious eighth tomb actually being a Thing I'll give the game another run-through with all the tombs. Well, Hitman 2 is keeping me very occupied but I'll try and make time. Has anyone else done this? Do the tombs and stories around them help with the overall game?

Newby needs Help!!
From memory there is a crate that is under the water that gets highlighted with Eagle Vision but there's no way of interacting with it that I found either. I think it's an oversight. I have not noticed a beeping sound there, I'll try and remember to have a look and listen later on. As a general piece of advice in the game, there's a high chance that if you've spent an hour trying to figure out something and you've not got anywhere then it's not something you can do at that point. You're highly unlikely to permanently miss anything, there's basically nothing you can only get to once, although with the DLC I'm not so sure, from memory some documents are in the tomb-y bits of the levels and there doesn't appear to be a way back into them from within a given save game but I don't know, I managed to get all of them on the first go (or the game gives them to Lara regardless). Happy hunting!

repeat topic, apologies, but . . .
Sorry, this is a repeat question and is more or less a repeat of the two most-recent posts. Question remains - anyone have any idea about the mysterious missing "additional tomb" that is "coming soon"? I just read an article at kotaku.com that mentioned this missing thing. The developers are silent, although that is sadly normal for game developers even in the face of "this game is totally broken" complaints from those who provide their income. As mentioned, I felt the very last dialogue in "Mother Protector" left something hanging, a conversation that isn't finished, but I have to admit I don't know how it fits with the story as a whole. Maybe it segues nicely into the next thing Lara says to whoever-it-might-be back in the main game. Elsewhere in internetland there's evidence of a "definitive edition" already, which does kind-of imply they've finished, and there was a mention that the "sound team" had "jumped ship" already in some reddit/discord/whatever thread. Maybe if there is a definitive edition they'll release something along with it but . . . well, likely wishful thinking. Took them years to fix the deer-spawn bug in "Rise of the Tomb Raider" even though there was a high chance of never being able to complete "Baba Yaga" and not even sure that it is fixed but I did get that impression last time I looked. Half-finished games with things that cannot be done due to their being incomplete ("Thief", which I really rather liked otherwise) still get released. I bought the digital Croft edition so do not know whether "Mother Protector" was the season-pass-only DLC, there was going to be one. Anyway, anyone know anything vaguely definitive? Please post! Otherwise I suppose it really is an oversight.

SHADOW OF THE TOMB RAIDER’S FINAL DLC “THE PATH HOME” IS OUT NOW
Thing I don't get is that the menu still indicates there is one more tomb "coming soon" and the way this one ended is clearly "mid-sentence", so to speak. There has to be something else, surely. Any ideas or news?

Tiny white triangles on map
Hello. I realise an answer 439 days later is not likely to be very helpful for you but if I remember correctly it means the thing is below Lara so find a ladder/cave entrance/whatever.

Which way now for Shadow?
What Stella wrote. I find combat in this game quite difficult so any sort of help in the final battle is a good idea. In terms of timelines, just the one DLC level occurs after the final battle but I don't think the game lets you play that until you've done the final level. One DLC features the bad guy, albeit briefly, so for story continuity should be played before the end of the game and I think that is probably true for all of them. My intention is the replay the game (again, once or twice) after all DLC has been released (and it looks like there's one left at present), partly to see how all the tombs fit in with the story given the bit of extra background. But of course it's entirely up to you! Enjoy!

what's the last DLC?
Oh, right! Super-secret! Croft manor again . . . maybe. The impression I got from the exchange about what Lara was going to do and the expression on her face was something more light-hearted, there's not been a lot of humour! Those historically have been at Croft Manor, like locking the butler in the freezer (BTW this gets a nod in Hitman 2 if you didn't know). The last visits to Croft Manor have hardly been pleasant, too.

what's the last DLC?
Hey, Stella, the last tomb - do you know what's happening there? What I mean is there's still one thing listed as "coming soon" and right at the end there's a conversation between Lara and . . . someone else which clearly indicates something more.

Outrun the landslide... arrrrgggg
this was probably the trickiest bit in the game as it's consistently difficult and is the one that really put me off trying Deadly Obsession, I pictured myself getting more and more and more annoyed and breaking 3000 worth of console and TV and thought . . . I can live without a few Xbox gamer points

Crafting Fire Arrows problem (Shadow of the Tomb Raider PC)
If I understand correctly, you do not know how to make silent arrows. I do not know the PC buttons but on Xbox holding RB makes special arrows (fire arrows in your case) and RT makes silent arrows. I believe on PC it's the same idea - hold the "shoot arrow" button and Lara makes silent arrows.

three headshots in a second with the pistol?
Got it - thanks for the tip.

Fire Arrows
You don't need feathers to make fire arrows (never paid much attention myself but I don't think you do). Cloth and oil so I suppose it's one of those you're missing. If you're really stuck then if you hold RB and LB (RT and LT?) at the loading screen and you'll get back-up saves. They might be a fair bit further back than where you are in the game. Best of luck.

three headshots in a second with the pistol?
Right - thanks for that, I'll try and get used to it. I'm about to do the latest tomb, I've got to the "you're about to enter the tomb" bit so have gone away from Hitman right now. Trouble is I find that as soon as I start playing one game I very quickly lose the co-ordination on whatever I was playing before! So I keep trying to get Lara to do what Agent 47 does at the moment and - oddly - I start using herbs because I'm holding LB for no reason (it's the run button in Hitman). Then when I go back to Hitman I press R-stick for Eagle Vision instead of holding RB. Trials and tribulations . . .

three headshots in a second with the pistol?
Ah, yes, I keep forgetting herbs, I barely used them until the final fight on "One With The Jungle" and don't recall using them at all when I went through on the easy setting; once again I completely avoided the normal setting, didn't use it in any of the last three games! How to you slow down time? Is it just by aiming? I can do it in Hitman with the right guns, pulling slightly on the trigger - is it like that?

three headshots in a second with the pistol?
Hello. This is one Xbox achievement I don't have for "Shadow". Anyone got any tips on the best place for this, techniques, etc? I presume an early level and New Game Plus helps. Cheers!

Outrun the landslide... arrrrgggg
Found this sequence quite difficult, she seemed to fail on certain actions even though I was fairly sure I had it right. It's the two sequences, running through flood and landslide, that put me off "Deadly Obsession", I didn't want to get so frustrated that I'd end up on a YouTube clip.

Can't find more mushroom spawns
sure, go ahead - it takes a little bit of practice but I was very very sad on a couple of run-throughs of "Rise" and spent 24+ hours just in the wilderness amassing XP to get the skills up. Kill the bear, get to the next camp or maybe past the ship in the ice, fast-travel back to the wilderness, shoot birds, deer, anything, eventually the things start re-spawning, the bear does after 10-20 fast-travels, you can collect the bear-skin until you can't carry any more but you have to kill it in the cave or it phases into the permanent carcass out in the "arena" and then you can't harvest the fur; the only down-side of the shooting arrows and running away tactic is that you can't then harvest the arrows however the quiver in the arena area respawns on each fast-travel

Can't find more mushroom spawns
Did you get past the bear? Sorry, I might have been able to help more but didn't register the updated in "Rise". There's a useful technique with this bear if you don't have poison. You can creep down the passage, do a loaded shot at its head, hopefully get a second one off as it starts to run towards you; then run away as soon as that happens, out of the passage, to the right (from where you came in). Keep going towards the end, jump over the snowdrift maybe - the bear roars and goes back. Go back down again, repeat the arrow-shots, run away. It works fairly well as the bear never gets close enough to cause a problem. Totally unrealistic, even huge grizzly bears are much faster than humans but there we go . . .

confusion caused by co-op stuff in DLC's
Interesting, that makes some sense. I noticed the things you can jump on to open doors in whichever level it was (forge?). I did have a vague recollection that there was some talk of co-op play at some point but could be completely wrong!

Traveling
For Xbox and I'd think PS is the same, the game saves automatically. The basic thing with changing save slot is that it puts the last automatic save in a new slot, it's not exactly a "save right here" thing - maybe that's even true with PC but I don't know. Basically you're okay until you accept the point-of-no-return mission, then you get put in a situation where you can do nothing, so just don't accept that mission or do a new save slot then go and talk to Etzli.
