Traveling
Whenever I went back to the Tree of Life challenge tomb, the friendly locals re-spawned (Xbox). Otherwise it seems so. Wish the bloody piranhas would disappear, though!

Howl of the MOnkey Gods Challenge Tomb
What they wrote! :O) I only went through it once but are you sure about not being able to go back? There are a few places to cross over between the sides, I was a bit stumped by the platform that I think you mean (it hangs down, right?). Anyway, hope the back-up save reload thing works if not.

Easy Mode Bow-Only Run
AC Odyssey, any good? I did AC, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations and Syndicate. Syndicate I liked; bit grindy in terms of things to collect. Annoying social glitch problem, their servers are rubbish so I ended up with a 120-plus day support ticket where they didn't answer, didn't answer, didn't answer - then sent a code for AC Origins only it was AC Odyssey when I redeemed it. Anyway - is Odyssey any good? Any comment on play relative to Syndicate? Have they fixed the often-bizarre automatic running thing (you know, hold the button, jump over obstacles to chase whoever then for some reason you decide to climb a building to your right rather than jump through the far-more-obvious window in front)?

Easy Mode Bow-Only Run
Can't say as I've been to the range ever but if there's a big-money franchise like this with some vague semblance of realism to it then if what you indicate is correct, that the shotguns don't compare with reality, someone didn't do their research properly. It's still quite fun, though, and I spend time trying to be stealthy. Quite difficult with Yaaxil, though, given they invariably know you're there and attack like lunatics! Actually that might have been an interesting thing; maybe these Yaaxil are, well, hard and all that, attuned to living underground, but some level where Lara could use stealth against them, stealth-killing but it suddenly gets rather more difficult if they find her, well, that could be fun.

Easy Mode Bow-Only Run
Interesting idea. I almost exclusively use the various bows anyway, works well for endless ammo and stealth killing. So much so I still don't have the achievement for shooting three people in the head within a second or whatever it is. Regarding bows the poison one has better headline statistics than the other bows but I don't know what the poison does, if anything; similarly the one that is supposed to be better against armour and the one that is supposed to be better against animals - do they actually do anything? I find shotguns rubbish, the only time I really tried was against Yaaxil and the one time they should have worked well they were all terrible.

where did the empress jaguar go?
Interesting, @rcgldr - did you get her twice, then? If and when I go through it again might be worth trying. I am pretty sure it's a bug, though, given her going into a crouch. Just the wrong animals spawn!

new monkey trial thing
Just did this - bit odd! Just a note to reassure.

where did the empress jaguar go?
Did anyone else get to kill the empress jaguar once - but only once? Lara goes into a crouch in that bit of San Juan for me and can put on mud for camouflage - but there's no big cat, just deer. On my attempts at the game she vanishes permanently after the first time she's killed. Doesn't break the game but is there something specific that gets her to appear?

Invisible wall bug in Hidden City - I'm stuck!
Xbox had an update within the last day. I've not really played since doing the two new tombs and didn't go near this area. Rather not, actually, given the issues! Anyway - has anyone looked at this to see if they fixed it?

merry Christmas
Season's greetings to one and all!

Invisible wall bug in Hidden City - I'm stuck!
Is this specific to PC or does it affect consoles? I haven't tried it; I did the two challenge tombs and am now back on Hitman 2.

challenge tombs
I'd wondered about maintaining interest in the game after completing it. The challenge tombs being mixed in with the main story give some reason to replay the whole game when they're all out. Just did Forge and Pillar while waiting for Hitman 2 to update. I wasn't quite clear on Forge, how the thing worked, but running around like a lunatic shooting the first available gas stream seemed to work; even there, though I think there was one point of luck rather than being able to work it out. Looks like Agent 47 is available again . . .

platinum shotgun?
I just got a message about a loyalty reward, a platinum Bishop 600 shotgun. Anyone else got this? What did I do to get this? Are there any others (ie, have I missed any)? Member Pgacol noted something similar just under three weeks ago but perhaps that was the gold edition. One other thing I didn't quite get was that Forge and so on appear in the main game, they're not standalone, but that was probably just me being thick!

kuwaq-yaku.
This the one where you have to rappel down a bit, swing, jump and grab? Some have found that a bit tricky, if it is that one then from memory the way forward is NOT to rappel down as far as possible. Mind you, I've been busy with Hitman 2 and haven't looked at Shadow for a while (not yet done Forge). Best of luck!

Lower Paititi (HIdden City) - chatting to locals for map reveals (spoilers)
Also Old woman quite high up on the right, south of Uhura's house in a hut just southwest of an artefact, highlights a crypt on the left. Man on west side of map next to tunnel to capybara area, highlights tomb. Think this might be one you've noted.

new game + | all items from any path
Yes, that's what I found, I had 18 points or so spare at the start and had another four I think by the time I got to a place where I could buy skills so got all of them very fast. I didn't find the NG+ thing that enjoyable as a concept, given how lethal Lara is anyway by the end of a normal game.
-
new game +, jaguar path, jaguar speed?
All the skills and outfits in NG+ can be bought with XP/at the seller locations. I think the name is as Tyler mentioned, it's in a stage of development then for whatever reason gets called something else or changed or both.

Tombs with enemies
Yes, wonder if Andy Serkis is getting royalties for the sound effects, should do as some are exactly what he did for Gollum! As for shotguns I find them rubbish. I have ploughed through almost exclusively with dodge-kills and auto-head-shots with the bow. Probably making my own life hard!

Retrieve champions bow
Yes, I just re-did it an hour ago after finishing San Juan.

Peruvian Jungle - Jaguars - arrows useless?
This came to my mind earlier on. I've been ploughing through my NG+ and just got to the helicopter boss. At the end, after I'd used nearly all my medicine due to pressing the wrong buttons on the controller because I've been playing Hitman Sniper Assassin mostly in the last week, it was a bit odd. I had Lara crouched behind the round thing behind which she can crouch when the helicopter minigun is firing, healed, there was one guy (maybe two?) left to shoot. Thing is, while she was crouching behind that thing the 'copter just blew up by itself. Is that on a timer, too? I haven't tested the jaguar fight. I could try a test on the helicopter boss on my other Xbox, that's not been synced.

Tombs with enemies
Well . . . at least it's a bit different! The Yaaxil reappear in the Tree of Life if you take Lara back there, or at least they did before the last Xbox update. Thought I'd mention that in case you wanted to say, "Hello," again - but they're not any friendlier. Really surprised me, that. I stared at Lara for a good five seconds. "That's odd," was all I could think. Then a Yaaxil appeared and started clawing me. Lara's "combat" crouch was totally unexpected, so much so that I didn't even realise that was what was going on!

Retrieve champions bow
` I'm at the same sort of point in my latest go at the game. The first thing I did in San Juan was to find the base camp by the cars and fast-travel to do "stuff" and I had the same thought as you, to do that side-mission. It wasn't available. I think it appears after the main San Juan story is complete and Lara goes back to Paititi.

Stuck on wooden walkway overloking spider mosaic
What Tyler wrote. I think you should not try to rappel all the way down, though, I am fairly sure the jump is easier if she stops lowering herself early.
-
Ideal game-journey pathway; general cogitations
Yes, that kind of thing in a way makes the main game easier, possibly even too easy, especially if you do what I did which is to farm XP as soon as fast-travel is enabled (I got all 1-point and 2-point skills before heading off to Kuwaq Yaku.

NG+ "Paths"
I suppose I should clarify my ability to do combat! I do try to do "stealthy" and sometimes get away with it - but I'm not very good - just make sure I have lots of medicine before starting a fight!
