Lady Lara Croft

I got Microsoft Vista in January of this year when I purchased a brand new HP Pavillion Desktop #a6300f with Intel Core Duo. I was very impressed with it, despite the problems with processing power. It's fast, efficient, and all the bugs, like the Windows folder being Read-Only should be worked out with the (as said above) just released SP1. I work in an electronics department, so Vista is slowly grappling once die-hard XP users.

Hmmm.. I tried to think of some moments not already mentioned. Funniest Moments: - In TR4: The banter between young Lara and Von Croy in the beginning of the Cambodia level. - In TR5: The banter between Pierre and Larson, and then Lara, Pierre, and Larson in the first Rome level. Scariest Moments: - In TR2: The entire Floating Island level. - In TR4: The mummies, and oddly enough the fake mummy in the Egyptian Adventure..LoL.

Well.. After all this time I've managed to get to the Great Pyramid and get to where there are retracting ledges and whatnot. I'm permanently stuck in the part where you have to swing up via the grapple, then backflip and grapple again. I cannot seem to do it correctly or fast enough..the end result is always ending up in the lava. >_<

Well, after a looong time, I'm back as well. First signed up in 2007 and only had 7 posts..but I'm sure someone remembers me. It's great to be back in such a wonderful community!

I voted 'yes'. I really liked Kurtis, not only because he was good looking, but because he was a bad boy. I don't think Kurtis and Lara would have gotten together even if the AoD storyline had been continued in another game, but he might've made a good contact for Lara in the future. I definitely wouldn't be against Kurtis showing up in a future game, though I hope his role will be as a non-player character. I hope Kurtis has his own game come out. Kurtis Trent: Demon Hunter or whatever. Lara could probably make a cameo or two and maybe be a playable character in one of his games since he was in one of her games. I really need closure to AoD!!

It's very possible that there may be an extra weapon or two since they have added some more equipment, like the grapple. Like they said, the game is going to be based on TR1, but new things will be added. Hopefully that means to her arsenal too.

Yeah, at first I had trouble with the tightrope in TRC as well. It took a bit of practice. It makes sense that the new 'perch' move would probably work the same because it requires her to balance herself equally on both feet to avoid falling off the pillar or small surface area. Don't worry, you'll master it, if it's like that. This is actually a good idea to add into the game to make it harder and pull the player more into it; and make them feel what Lara would probably feel. I do hope that they enable her to do backflips in this game. In Legend, I realized she couldn't do backflips without her guns drawn. I sort of miss this signature move of hers.

Hello to everyone here! I just signed up for this forum today, thinking it looks like a warm cozy place to discuss one of the best video game series in the world, Tomb Raider. I started playing Tomb Raider in 2001 when I first got my DreamCast. The first game I played was Chronicles. It took me forever to get past the Rome levels, but finally I got to the rest and beat it in 2004. The next game I played was The Last Revelation (one of my favorites because it takes place in Egypt) and then TR2, TR3, The Angel of Darkness, and then recently Legend. I love all the games no matter what some other people might say. Though, sadly, I've never played TR1, but hope to find it soon. Tomb Raider: Anniversary does look very promising and I cannot wait to play it when it comes out. I'm also a Silent Hill fan and cannot figure out which game series I like more. Oh well, it doesn't matter. Well, I hope to see you all around the boards!!
