Doing the wall run followed by a jump in the right direction did me in using my keyboard. I finally gave up. I guess I'll need to search for a game controller if I purchase Underworld. Question...I was looking at the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad2. Any suggestions on a sturdy controller for PC that won't break after an hour of playing?

My view of the forum has changed. I have to scroll to read posts now and what was center now is way off to the right. Have there been some changes made and is there a way to adjust my view? My screen resolution is set @ 1024 x 768. Thanks, David

I'm sick and tired of Politicians! Constant bickering, name calling, mud slinging and nothing worthwhile ever seems to get accomplished. You've got your spin doctors out there shoveling bull about their man/woman. The media has their favorites and craft their news broadcasts to favor this person or that. Bogus polls and ridiculous campaign advertisements. I'm sorry that I ever got interested in politics and I'm seriously thinking about NOT voting next election. I'm thinking about substituting cable news with Leave it to Beaver reruns or animal shows or.......ugh.....I almost hate to type it............REALITY SHOWS!!!! ARGH!!! I'm playing on PC and I'm having the same problem I've had all through this game. That is jumping in the right direction while doing the grapple/wall run. I'm up to the top ledge and cannot get Lara to jump in the same direction two times in a row. It's really frustrating killing the creatures a zillion times only to have Lara jump into the lava from the grapple. If you take any time to adjust the camera angle you'll then run out of time. I'm totally stuck here. This a a major flaw in this game for PC players as far as I'm concerned.

I'm very close to giving it up this game. I don't need the aggravation.

I made it into the pyramid and I'm trying to do this climb up the ledges with the lava below. This is absolutely no fun at all. My biggest worry is that I'm going to run out of my good ammo fighting these bat people or whatever they are. Retracting ledges. Give me a break!

I've always had trouble with that. This is sort of what BPanther said but it seems like Lara really doesn't need to be looking at the post she's jumping to as long as the camera is pointed in the right direction. I've been hopping around on this stupid pyramid for so long that I've gotten pretty good at it. Adjusting the camera angle seems to affect everything. She will point toward the pole if you get the camera pointing that way first and hit the up/forward key. Good luck, David

I'm using my other computer to send this messge but on my main computer when I try to access LCO I get this message. FORBIDDEN You don't have permission to access/forum/chat/on this server. Additionally, a 403 Foridden error was encountered while trying to use an Error document to handle the request. I'm puzzled why the same URL works on this computer but not my other one. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks, David

Doesn't say much for me eh? I'm still trying to get the first artifact. I know the route to take but I'm still not fast enough. The problem is when I get to the grapple/wallrun and leap to the handhold. I'm still doing that too slow. Lara may jump to the handhold one time and out into the room the next. So.......you had no trouble getting the first artifact or did you just skip it? EDIT: I finally got the first artifact. It wasn't until I was able to grapple/wallrun & leap to the handhold all in one swoop did I have enough time to get to the pole before it retracted. This is the silver tablet needed to unlock bonus content in the game. We'll see later, I guess.

I'm on PC. I'm there also and having the same problem with the grapple and jump in the timed run. I'm either jumpin in the wrong direction or jumping in the right direction but am not high enough to catch the ledge. I have a feeling that I'm going to be doing this for a long time before I get that artifact.

I've made it to the Temple of Khamoon. I have to say, so far this game isn't much fun to play. It seems a bit repetitious and not near as much fun as blowing up skeleton's with a laser sighted crossbow using grenade tipped arrows. Hmmmmmmm....I think that was Revelations. In AOD Lara could do flips and sprints but this Lara seems to have basic moves. Unless I'm missing something. (Which is entirely possible) Well, I still have this level and a few others to finish, so maybe it will get better. So far I've missed two artifacts. Bummer. :-(

I stood on one of the platforms looking for the leopard. I could hear it and it wasn't until I dropped down did I locate the beast implanted in the sphinx. Weird.

Wow, 3 hours is pretty good. I think I spent the longest time with the fish fountains. Guess my puzzle skills aren't very good.

I looked at that for the longest time wondering how in the heck by swinging sideways was Lara going to make the jump to that column. It wasn't until I got my camera angle in the proper position, that she jumped towards the column. It was totally pure luck that I made it. The changing camera angle also caused me grief trying to get through the swords checkerboard thing. It was just by the sheer repetition that I was able to adjust the camera angle on the fly and make my moves to finally get through. That took me forever. I spent over 8 hours on that level.

You guys play fast. After 5 days I've finally finished The Lost Valley. Time for a mug of fermented chicha.

I'm playing on PC and I stink at this jump.

I'm not doing very well. I've gone back to the same checkpoint so many times that I think I'm in the movie Groundhogs Day. I haven't sought out help yet, so I may get better with time. I miss the old games where you could save game right before a tough maneuver and if you got killed you just start back at that point. That doesn't seem possible here.
