I'm nearly finished with this room but there is a bit where you have to grapple, wall run then jump to a column. It seems impossible as I can't tell when to jump. Any tips for anyone who has reached that bit? Ta!

when she's standing on the wall, press the forward button a few times without making her jump to get a feel of how far she goes.... she really doesn't wall run that far;

as soon as she is as far as she can run, press the jump button and grab the L shaped ledges

Do you mean the bit where you have to get Lara to jump backwards off the wall? That drove me a bit insane...

What worked best for me was to press left to send Lara swinging, let go while she was swinging left, and press back and jump as she reached the apex of her swing.

Some people have recommended waiting until Lara Lara has turned back after reaching the end of her swing left and them pressing left and jump together.

That is driving me insane im in Natla's mines and there is a wall run which i need to jump backwards and she keeps going left AAAHHHH!!!! annoying

Thanks. What worked for me was getting her to jump when she was as high as she could go. The pillar was further away than I thought.

Pull the Lever, jump on the block, jump on the raising gate and jump up to grab the ledge before the gate closes again.

I can't get it!!

I pull the lever, the camera angle is screwing me up and instead of jumping on the block she's going all kind of ways and if I do get her on the block, she can't jump on the raising gate fast enough before it closes OR if she does jump on the gate, it's not high enough for her to reach the ledge above.

I tried adjusting the Camera Angle by moving the mouse after she pulls the lever but that only takes up valuable time.

p.s. playing on the PC with just the keyboard and the mouse makes it even more difficult!!

It's all about rhythm lol. When you climb on the gate, wait for it to reach the top. When it reaches the top, you should hear three metal clinks (Or heartbeat clinks). On the third one, jump! The gate descends on the third one and Lara will jump in time just to grab the ledge without the gate blocking her!

EDIT: I'm on about the wrong room lol, push the block underneath the gate and then jump onto the block and then onto the gate.

Push the block under the closing door. Then you'll be able to grab the gate and then jump up to the gap above. Worked for me anyway.

ok I did all that and got the key now I can't get out of the room with those blades on the floor appearing and disappearing!!

Look at the pattern on the floor, red equals bad, white equals good. Just remember that and you should be fine. I don't want to give too much away just yet as figuring it out for yourself always feels better lol. But yeah, just watch the pattern and all should go well!

I stepped on the first white square, then when the next white square was safe, I tried to step on it and she got killed but there are no blades protruding from it!!

You may have just got clipped by the last white square. You have to be ultra quick to step onto that white square. You have about 1 second to move judging by the rhythm of the blades, the best thing to do is memorize the sequence before you begin the sequence. That way, you know where to step to next without having to think about it.

Anyhow, just remember that speed is the answer!

Lol, my tip for wall pillar jumps is the following:

Make sure that Lara is level with the Top of the pillar you want to jump on when she is stationary. Afterwards, run back and forth at least 5 times and when she reaches the optimum position press the button away from the wall and jump almost immeadiately. She will land on the pillar safely.

i posted somewhere else (I JUST KILLED ANNIVERSARY if its still here) that if you put the block under the door which i did hence the title that the switch is down on the other side so you cant raise the door to get back over.

That's odd because I put the block under the gate and got back fine. The door on the other end isn't affected by Lara's weight when I did it so I could get back out no problem, must have just been a rare bug when you did it.

I HATE that jump.... I can't do it either in the Croft Manor... :angry: :angry: Maybe one of those things to try with the controller instead...

It's well hard with the keyboard.. I can only do it with the controller. I try to press the equivalent keys when I do it on the keyboard and it just doesn't happen. Very frustrating.

I've gotten the key and I'm trying to get across the middle of the room where there are moving spikes...I've stepped out there several times, with disastrous results....how do I get through there safely?

Thank God I found this was driving me insane 4 hours wasted!!!!

I pushed the block under the door, but Lara won't reach to the top ledge!!

EDIT: nv lols I'm a retard when I pulled the block it fell the wrong way so it wasn't high enough.
