  1. NOLF 2 was great but I still love the first game best. I don't know about downloading the music but you can download a screensaver from the official website which has the music on it. There is a download for the music but I couldn't access it. Mary
  2. I had great fun with the PSP and PS2 version of Free Running (haven't finished it) but am currently replaying JetSetRadioFuture on Xbox360 which is one of my all time favourite games and am doing better on it now than ever before. Mary
  3. NOLF. A perfect game. Beautifully made, hilarious, challenging, a female lead character, great I mean great music. What more could you want? NOLF 2. Brilliant too! Somebody should make NOLF 3. It's just obvious! Mary
  4. Just got this game on PS2 and it plays very well surprisingly. Obviously I'm familiar with the controls from the PSP but I think it's actually easier on PS2. Mary
  5. One criticism from reviews seems to be that there's no story, which I find strange. After all racing games and skateboarding games and most xtreme sports games don't have stories. Another criticism is that you have to be very precise with the controls, but again that's an odd criticism because of course that's the skill. In fact many of the criticisms seem to be based on people who didn't play the game very much and maybe only tried a couple of levels. As it goes on the levels get more difficult and bigger. There are lots of different challenges, such as races, or timed runs. There are challenges where you mustn't touch the floor, and flow challenges where you string together tricks to get scores. I find it totally addictive and recommend it for the PSP. I know its on PS2 but I don't know how it plays. I'm going to buy it on that console because I find handheld consoles give me eye strain after a while. Mary
  6. I'm loving this game on the PSP, but I find by doing an extensive Google that it has had bad reviews and few people like it. It's a Core game, has similar controls to Tombraider Games and has short but difficult challenges which is perfect for a handheld. Is anyone else playing this, enjoying it? Mary
  7. I am currently playing Free Running on the PSP in between bouts of trying to complete St FF time trial! I really like it. It's a Core game and bears some resemblance to controlling Lara! I am presently stuck though! Anyone else playing this game? Mary
  8. In the Lost Valley collect the cog in the building by the dead TRex before getting the one at the top of the waterfall. When you reach the entrance to the Lost Valley you open a shortcut to the second cog which saves a huge amount of time. Also don't bother trying to kill the wolves. Ignore the first lot by drawing pistols and the forward somersaulting three times from the start of the level to the little step with the first of the cogs. By getting cog two last you can just about avoid the wolves on the return journey to the machinery. Oh and another tip for Midas. Don't try killing the gorillas in the room with the statue. If you immediately go to open the first door the gorillas won't come out of hiding. Jump off the balcony near to the statue and quickly get on the plinth. Get to the back and throw the switch at the back of the statue, then jump off the balcony very near to the door that you have just opened. Rush in and the gorillas won't chase you. When you emerge there will be no gorillas barring your way to the third switch. You can avoid killing the ones that meet you from the fire room if you run past and go straight for the golden hand. This saves an enourmous amount of time and no cheating. Mary
  9. I unlocked a real sense of achievement. In terms of an in-game achievement I won't know until I finish the Greek levels. I can't wait. Mary
  10. I have completed the Coliseum without cheating. I am trying to do Tomb of Tihocan which I have nearly completed once. I'm leaving the Folly for last as it's so long although I have tried it a good few times. Mary
  11. I just had to post this somewhere! It's taken me days and days to complete this on timed!!!!! I finally did it! Have we got a thread on tips for time trials? I've got repetitive strain injury doing that level! Mary
  12. I'm on a PS2 but someone I know is playing the Demo on PC and wants to know how you take screenshots in the full game and if you can take screenshots in the demo? Mary
  13. If you save the game after any checkpoint the game will resume from that checkpoint. Mary
  14. I posted this on another thread but if you keep flipping sideways as soon as the boss gets the rage up you should be able to get the reticules withough Lara going into a stupid crouch! It doesn't always work but I found that it works more often than not. Mary
  15. A tip for getting the dodge right in boss fights. As soon as the rage is up I start side flipping without firing that way when the time comes to make the dodge you are already dodging. I found that unless I did this with the TRex all that happened was that I would crouch. Mary
  16. Actually once you get the hang of the adrenaline thing it's not about being quick, it's about standing your ground and being patient. If you approach it (as I did for ages) as a quick move you get it wrong. I've just killed the TRex in a couple of minutes with hardly any loss of life. The first time through I couldn't do this at all. I was trying too hard I think. Mary
  17. More stuff added! Yay! Well done Stella! Mary
  18. One of the things I was doing in the Rush was letting go of the targetting button. I didn't realise it for ages, but the adrenaline got to me. Just be sure you are holding that down. A tip. As soon as the enemy shows rage (blurry red ring around the head stop shooting and whilst keeping your guns targetted start side jumping, direction plus roll. If you do that then you will get the reticules. Fire as soon as they turn red. Grapple problem. Grapple then press the use key. Do not press the grapple key again otherwise you will just lose your hold. You need to point the sheild at the horsemen as soon as they start to do the green thing! You don't need to shoot off two shields - one will do. Does that help? Mary
  19. I suppose if I had more time I would try without a walkthrough, but it has never spoiled my enjoyment of being Lara. I didn't need a walkthrough for Legend and that says a lot to me about the two games. There's no comparison. And kudos to those who can play the games without a walkthrough. I think you are marvelous. I have now completed the first Peru level on a Time Trial, with seconds to spare. I'm nearly able to do the second level but get a bit lost near the end. I will play this game again and again. It's great. Mary
  20. I finished and have all the relics and artifacts, but I admit to relying heavily on a walkthrough. I could never get past the first level on any TR game without the walkthroughs and it still takes me ages to finish a game. I absolutely loved this game and I'm just off to play the Manor. I tried the first level on timed and it was really difficult - I'm determined to do it though. Now I hope they remake my favourite which is TR2. Mary
  21. Press "start". You must have pressed this to save your game surely? You're not going to tell me you haven't been saving? Mary
  22. I know what I have to do but try as I might I can't make it in time to get her into the trap. So any tips for how to succeed after the switch is pulled. Is there a video tip? One thing which is making it difficult for me is making the jump to the timed ledge. I can't quite tell when to jump towards it. With everything else it has been clear when to start a jump, but I can't see any hints in game. Ooops! I've just realised that in spite of playing this over and over again I missed a vital lever! Apologies for not realising that the help I got here rather assumed I might have noticed that. I'm soooo ashamed! ~Please use the 'Edit' button instead of double posting. Thanks! ~~BPanther
  23. Check your statistics. You'll find that you have collected the artifact. Once collected you don't need to fetch it again so if you die you don't need to repeat any tricky bits. If on the way you've collected anything else though you will have to fetch that again. Mary
