I used up all my 50 Caliber Ammo, my Shotgun Ammo, my Medipacks, and I am just plinking away at them with the default puny peashooters and they are not taking one bit of damage.

I tried the slow motion shoot but Lara either gets turned into a stone or a fireball or gets run over by one or the other before she can even jump sideway.

This game gets more and more frustrating by the second!!

I've seen a video of the battle, and from what I remember, you:

have to adrenaline shoot one of them, which paralyzes them for a brief moment. In that moment, you have to yank one of their shields off at some point and have Lara hold the shield as cover. When the green beams to petrify Lara get shot, they should deflect from the shield back at one of the Centaurs. Shoot them some more. After a while, they should explode. I'm not sure if this would take several tries or not.

Again, I'm only going off of a video I saw, so I might be wrong.

He has to petrify/shoot the Centaurs exactly three times; I'm not sure if this is the exact number you have to petrify/shoot or not.

Another thing to do when in battle with these horsemen is to be running around at all times...also when they try to use the beams to petrify Lara, run away from them and they'll miss...save the 50 caliber ammo for when you do use their shields and reflect the beams on them, those will chip away their life bars a lot faster

I'm at the Temple of Khamoon now... only got Lara killed 40 times before I figured out how to kill those bloody horsemen!!

I didn't get killed on any bosses (well one time the T-Rex). All my kills were me being clumsy with Lara. There's a lot of Trial and Error in this game.

Hey everyone! Whoa, haven't been here for ages, it had changed a lot.... anyway, for some reason i couldn't log in with my old account so i had to make a new one... i wasn't allowed to use Boaz cause it's already in use (by ME! lol)...

Anyway i desperately need help about the stupid horses... I think i have some strange bug or something like that because nothing seems to be right. I know what i have to do and i saw that UTube video, but in my case Lara refuses to do the adrenaline dodge... it just can't happen! And since i started the game i haven't done it once cause it never works. I do get the screen blurred, but then i jump on a side and nothing happens, i don't get the two reticules or anything like that, i usually get hit by the stupid horse and i have to start all over again. It's such as mess! Anyway, i somehow managed to stun one of them, but it doesn't look like in the video, he just stays immobile, while the other one is running in a circle around, doing nothing. Anyway, i tried to get the shield, but the grapple doesn't attach to it! It does only for a second, but doesn't stay there so that i can pull it! And this happens every time! I don't understand anything! Here's a pic of the immbile horse:

I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense, but i'm sooooooooooooooooooooooo mad at the moment that i can hardly type! And on top of everything else Lara is so hard to control during a battle.. it's almost impossible, i need at least 3 hands in order to manage! Ahhhhh, i just can't take it anymore! Please i need help! Has anyone else had such a problem? Is it a bug? I can't continue the game like this!

One of the things I was doing in the Rush was letting go of the targetting button. I didn't realise it for ages, but the adrenaline got to me.

Just be sure you are holding that down.

A tip. As soon as the enemy shows rage (blurry red ring around the head stop shooting and whilst keeping your guns targetted start side jumping, direction plus roll. If you do that then you will get the reticules. Fire as soon as they turn red.

Grapple problem. Grapple then press the use key. Do not press the grapple key again otherwise you will just lose your hold.

You need to point the sheild at the horsemen as soon as they start to do the green thing!

You don't need to shoot off two shields - one will do.

I think i (partly) realised my mistake... apparently the only way to do the adrenaline dodge is by using the crouch button, and i thought i can use the jump button isntead (cause that's what it says in the stupid guide!!!). So ok, but this creates another problem for me, lol - i don't have enough hands! LOL I just can't master the controls, i find it too hard. I have to learn to use the W A D S keys for directions rather than the arrows, because they are closer to the crouch button (if i use the arrows i can't reach the crouch button... well, i can, but then i need a third hand in order to press the shoot and target buttons), the mouse is not convenient either! In the end i end up pressing all buttons on the keyboard and swearing histerically while being kicked in the head by a stupid horseman! HOW ON EARTH did the PC users kill those b******s! Ohhh.... lol, i'm sorry i'm whinning so much, but i am EXTREMELY annoyed and frustrated.... :( I feel i'm stuck forever here and i really want to move on! Oh well... prctice i suppose, but i'll leave it for tomorrow cause i'm too furious at the moment

Use the Right Button on the mouse for targeting and Left Button to fire;

hold down the Right Button but stop firing once their Rage Meter has reached its limit and then press A or D with Shift at the same time (WHILE STILL HOLDING DOWN the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON) to make Lara do the slow motion jump sideway and the white reticle will turn red and that's when you want to FIRE ONE SHOT ONLY

I am playing on the PC too with just the Mouse and KB and it took me a while to get used to it - Welcome Back Boaz!!

I still can't make it... It's my nightmare... I haven't been able to kill the bosses without help! Really frustrating! I'm playing on Hard Mode and maybe that doesn't help.. I wish they make it possible to kill it without the move....

and if you have a scroll mouse, use the scroll wheel to change weapons - works before Lara takes out her weapons and even when she has her weapons unholstered!!

and pressing the scroll wheel down as a 3rd Mouse Button while she is targeting will allow Lara to cycle thru different targets!!

these are default game settings - I didn't change and remap the game controls in any way

How to you get Lara to do the slow motion backward bit before she shoots the horse???

He's saying he can't get the shield, it won't take it??????

Hi Fordy419, welcome to LCO.

To do the slow motion movement, called Adrenaline doge, he needs to press the analog stick/direction+ circle when the game goes into slow motion, and when both targets get together (they turn red and you hear a beep), he needs to shoot the horse. They'll stop for a bit and then he uses the grapple to get the shields out of them.

When both shields are down on the ground, you need to pick one of them just before the horse is about to attack you. The shield protects you and reverses the attack to the horse, transforming them into stone. Then shoot them. You'll have to do it more than once before the horse dies.

Are you making sure that you are maintaining a weapons lock on the horsemen when you try to do the adrenaline dodge? You must keep the combat button pressed all the time. If Lara isn't pointing her pistols at the horsemen, she won't do that dodge. Also, make sure that although you keep Lara's weapon locked on the horsemen, that you stop shooting as soon as the horseman starts preparing to charge.

when they start the green ray, duck down then as soon as they stop, use the grapple to get the shield off them (grapple to hook and action to pull it off)

It's not when they shoot the green ray that you get the shield, it's when they're stunned after being headshot during the adrenaline dodge. But like j7 says, use the grapple to grab it and action to pull it to the ground.

Once the shields are on the ground, stand near one of them, and once the horsemen start shooting the green ray, pick the shield up using Action to reflect the ray back at them. When they are turned to stone you can damage them.

He smashed 1 controller with rage and went to bed very angry that he couldn't kill the horsemen. He has a new controller and a fresh look on the game today and managed to do it first time!!!

I will be back on here I'm sure when he gets stuck again!!!
