damn!!

all this time I've been stuck and the answer was right in front of me!!

*sigh* I'm completely stuck. I have the first two green gemstones, but I can't figure out where the other two are.

Now I'm stuck in the pool area with the switch that raises a block and a ledge and Lara has to get up there before it drops.

I got Lara up there and monkey swing across to the opening with a red door and a green awning.

I tried to get Lara to monkey swing on the edge of the green awning all the way to the left, pull up and do a backward jump (or a backward jump with a 180 twist) to reach the balcony behind her but she keeps falling into the water.

What am I supposed to do here?

Forget that section and go back to where you lit the fires. Go down the passage that is behind the ladder that you climbed up. Watch out though, Lara will slide down the passage and a box will come down with her.

So you are saying there is nothing to do in this area and nothing to gain from it and I wasted hours in it yesterday?

No, there's a lever up on the balcony in there, but I haven't been there yet either.

You do have to do that backflip+twist+swerve jump from the green awning to the balcony... It's probably the hardest jump i've ever seen on any TR game. I still can't do it but luckily panther can Just keep trying! Your reward is another gemstone.

It's really hard and I had to stop playing and go back to it after. The problem is the timing, really. After you jump, back flip, turn,press the "right" key to turn her a bit and press "action" when she's really close to the ledge!

That's as much as I can say to help. It's really hard but it's do-able. Tomb raiding is just like that! We're just used to easier things ; ) . Don't give up 'cause it doesn't get any better! Just when you think you've done the hardest bit...

OK...I'm embarrassed to ask this but I'm stuck in the opening area...I see a 'grab switch' on the end of one of those walls in between the two areas but can't see a way to it...or anything else that I can do....HELP ME please....

Don't worry about it. You don't really need to get to it. Just keep going. Watch out fot those blue lasers though.

Actually I've jumped the lasers...LOLz...got the bullets there and have checked out the other area where you have to jump them again but just don't see anywhere else....the red laser area is a no-no and I can't find any way to where the goons are that you see through the gates...

In the area where the dog is sitting, you can shoot the windows that are behind the blue lasers, then, there's a switch in that room that will open the door so you can shut off the red lasers, then you can pull a jump switch in the room with the lasers.

EDIT: Wow I'm sadly blind...LOLz...I tried shooting the other windows out...I don't know why I didn't try those....oh well....moving onward...

ok I'm in the 2nd level in the area down the slide with the rolling crate that just barely misses Lara...

I see a horizontal pole up there and I got Lara up to the ledge, pull her up, slides and jump and grab but she can't get hold of the pole.

I can't find any other ways out of here!!

@Morph: Which ones have you got so far?

@J7: After you slide, don't try to grab the pole right away and jump to the top of that grated "house". From there, run+jump and grab the pole!

now I cannot get her out of the crawlspace either forward or backward;

I'm using the Keyboard and I tried:

forward + jump

backward + action

nothing works

Well, I had that problem too! Quite annoying... seems like a bug.

I came back, health on full, and jump to that box down there. After that, just find your way to the top again!

oh... just read you can't go backwards? I could do it.. so just keep trying or reload your last savegame.

I have the gemstone that you and Raek told me how to get to. The one up on the balcony where the fountain is below, and the one inside the glass on that electrical thingy.

There's one on a balcony, just above a big fountain (camera changes, when you come out of that area with the sliding and box falling behind you)) and the area with some small waterfalls (close to the fountain too)... look for a lever under water that opens a door... That leads to the next!

I think there might be something wrong with the game on my comp...when I first started playing the lasers didn't show up...and now I don't think the switch exists on my download of the game...

Yes, that's exactly the place!! The lever is behind you, to your right, under water.
