Getting ready to go do Black Friday again and do a 21 hours shift after only sleeping 6 hours. Then get home around midnight, go to sleep for a handful of hours and be back at the store at 6-7 am on Saturday morning for another 8-9 hours. Thanksgiving for the USA is this Thursday. Many folks have either the entire week off or most of the week off beginning on Wednesday. For those not in the USA or not familiar with it, it's the day we celebrate 132 Europeans arriving in North America on the ship The Mayflower in 1620 at what is now Massachusetts and being welcomed by the local Indian tribes and having the very "First Thanksgiving" dinner. At the "First Thanksgiving" in October 1621 the Pilgrims and Native Americans (Wampanoag tribe) likely ate a meal consisting of venison (deer brought by the Native Americans), wildfowl (including possibly turkey), various types of seafood like lobster, mussels, and fish, corn, beans, squash, and local fruits and nuts, with little resemblance to the modern Thanksgiving meal which includes dishes like mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie; there's no record of a large roasted turkey being served at the time. Somewhere along the way since 1621, someone decided the turkey is to become the National Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey became a traditional part of Thanksgiving dinner for a number of reasons, including: Plentiful - Turkeys were plentiful in New England, where they were often given to soldiers during the Civil War. Cheap -Turkeys were inexpensive. Big enough to feed a family - Turkeys were large enough to feed a family, making them a popular choice for large gatherings. Pelosi and Obama are the ones who told Biden to step aside and put Kamala on the ticket, illegally since she never ran in the primaries. Now that Kamala lost, Pelosi and Obama are claiming that they never endorsed Kamala, that it was Biden who endorsed her and he shouldn't had done that. Pelosi and Obama are saying that when Biden stepped aside, they should had be allowed to choose anyone they wanted to represent the the Democratic ticket. Furthermore they also claim Biden should had stepped aside sooner, like months ago Yeah but don't they forget that months ago, they were still pushing the lies that Biden is healthy and capable of running the country for another 4 years. Biden hasn't been healthy in years and for the last 3 3/4 years, it was Obama that was running the White House, not Biden, not Kamala.
