Just finish Jack Ryan Final Season. I am disappointed they ended the series this way with only 6 episodes than the usual 8-10 when there is still so much more to be done. Also they brought back his girlfriend who hasn't been seen since season 1 and the fans been asking for he return and then they don't give her much to do except using her in an stupid way to advance the story.

WGA and SAG strike is on. WAG = Movie and TV writers are on strike - TV and movie productions have already been shut down as of about 3-4 weeks ago when WAG went on strike - good luck getting new shows this fall. now the SAG = Screen Actors Guild is on strike - those are the actors and actresses, all of them, don't matter if they make $1000 or 25 million, they are all members of the same Screen Actor Guild, what does it mean? It means the TV and movie production will go longer and it also means that upcoming movies won't be promoted. Also late night talk shows like with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert are not getting new episodes, there are writers who write those shows. The cast of Barbie won't be able to have a red carpet premiere event. Oppenheimer red carpet premiere in London was moved up by 1 hour so the cast can still walk the red carpet right before the strike began. Other movies that are set to be released from now on until the SAG strike is over will also not have red carpet premieres with their casts making appearances and interviews and promotions. This might now hurt the ones who made millions but the SAG is 16,000 members, only a small number of them are earning that millions, the rest are working for change and many are barely earning enough to live on. Maybe the government need to step in and regulate wages in Hollywood. It's not fair someone like Tom Cruise can get 30 million a movie plus another 100 million in profit while another actor or actress that have also worked hard in Hollywood, been in dozen of movies and TV series, put in 30 years, and they are still making a couple of $100,000 for a 3 months film shoot. This is the first time since 1980 that SAG have been on strike and first time since 1960 when both SAG and WAG have been on strike at the same time. If you have any movies or TV series you've gotten on DVD or digital download or even the old tapes and you never got around to watching them, now it's the time. Or those piles of books you purchased and started reading but never finished, now it's also the time. The only thing that will be allowed to continue are unscripted reality shows, the writers and actors and actresses of those shows are not part of the WGA and SAG. Also cartoons and sports events. FOX is already announcing their Fall line up will be full of reality shows and cartoons and sports in place of their usual TV series.

You really can't go wrong with Ridley Scott. 3 Alien films, Blade Runner, The Martian, Gladiator, Thelma & Louise, Kingdom of Heaven, Blackhawk Down. Even his smaller less commercially successful films like G.I. Jane, White Squall, American Gangster, Hannibal were good.
