  1. I read that very same story awhile ago. Years ago, probably. I think I read a story later that said the TR3 movie was cancelled. But then again I've heard many conflicting stories. First I heard Angelina wanted to be Lara and they were making it a triliogy, then I heard that the second movie accomplished everything they had hoped to achieve so they didn't want to make a third. Then I heard that Angelina said she didn't want to play Lara anymore. Then I heard that she signed on to make the third movie, then I heard she was pregnant, and so on. So I honestly don't know what the heck is going on... I guess when they finally start working on the movie then an official statement will be released. Until then it's all just hearsay.
  2. Yeah that's a good tip! Don't go a longer way just to avoid the flames. Walk through them if you have to.
  3. I've been busy too, in fact, I never did replay that level to try looking for it.
  4. I recently replayed that level, and believe me... I feel your pain. It's very frustrating, but I don't know what to tell you. I guess just make sure there are no crocs in the water first, kill any if you find them. Always keep pressing the triangle button(on ps2) whenever you can so that she swims, climbs, and swings faster. And practice as much as possible. Practice climbing and swinging and swimming and all of that at Croft Manor if you have to. I've got to the point where I continuously press the triangle button nearly constantly throughout the game. I don't even notice I'm doing it anymore, it's just how I play it now, and it's a good habit too, because it also prevents her from losing her grip.
  5. Tell me what you think of it when you play it. I may be able to lend oyu some tips if you so ever need any, but try to get through all the hard parts yourself, that's the fun of it. You know all that though.
  6. Maybe Lara ate the last scone and Zip just can't get over it.
  7. Why would she aim at Zip and threaten him if he were protecting her? It doesn't make sense? I think it was just a warning shot, or else he's a crappy aim.
  8. It's believed somewhere in the world, perhaps far underground that gigantic spiders could possibly exsist. It's not that far-fetched, it's just the idea that we've never seen it before. That's what Tomb Raider is all about. The whole thing is an adventure of discovery. It's not just about finding the mythical objects and artifacts, it's about going around the world, underground, and into dark temples discovering places, things, creatures, and ultimately, the main prize. It's not about the destination, it's how we get there. If I were worried about how realistic it is, I probably would have stopped playing after Natla came back to life the first two times. Now she comes back again? PLEASE! This woman has more lives than Jack Bauer. I feel like a Crime Scene Investigator... examining all of these images and things. It's like we're trying to find out exactly what happened on very little evidence. Mucho fun! Personally, I don't think Zip is betraying Lara nor do I think he intends to kill her. I think what she is meddling with is a power much too evil for human hands. And he doesn't want her using it, but she feels the need to use the power because she has a personal vendetta against Natla. So she may kill Zip when he tries to stop her, but after killing Natla, Lara blows up her house, with her pistols on Zip's desk as a tribute to him, and she walks away saying "I can't do this anymore..." Until the next time, when something strikes her fancy, and she has to get back in the habit, to continue her father's work and once again, save the universe. That's what I think. I find it very cinematic, actually. I could write a screenplay.
  9. I wouldn't want to take off with an unfinished copy, but I wouldn't mind impersonating a beta tester.
  10. Groovy! Though I am going to a party that night, but I will check it when I get back.
  11. This is the kinda game where you can hide in a cupboard and watch as a surprisingly intelligent zombie searches for you. Just that moment, wondering if it will find you or not, is enough to get your heart racing. And if it doesn't find you... you still have to get out of the cupboard and make your way through the house until you can find whatever it is your looking for and leave. Meanwhile the zombies are in there making dinner and playing with toys. Lol It's creepy, it's like they think they're going on with their lives, but yet, their dead, and they're insanely homicidal. And when they get deformed... it's just... ugh. And I think there may be a sequel coming out. Which will hopefully have better voice acting.
  12. Try to get a few more pix as I rush off to go look for it in my game.
  13. I adore Angie! And personally, I would love to see other actresses play Lara, but when I look at Angelina... she looks so much like Lara, she's played her before, it's almost like she was born for the role, and it seems a waste not to utilize that. Not to mention I absolutely love her. Rhona Mitra would be great in a Tomb Raider movie though. Oh, and as I recall, Lara's name was originally Laura Cruz, but they changed to Lara Croft, indicating that they are not the same name. But then again, they're basically pronounced the same way... I just have OCD for these things. Lol
  14. Boaz wasn't nearly as creepy as she was FRUSTRATING!! Grr... You gotta be on your toes Shrensh... it's a useful survival skill. Lol
  15. Those spiders remind me of Tomb Raider 2... that level scared the crap out of me! I like the scariness though, I hope it does give me a start here and there. Luckily, I'm not scared of spiders. As a matter of fact, spiders fear me. They know that I'm a bounty hunter(yes, I get paid to kill spiders. The pregnant ones cost more). LOL But I do NOT do crickets...
  16. That's true, you know mistakes happen. It just bothers me when people who boast about being big fans of Tomb Raider still make the mistake of calling Lara "Laura". Though I admit, I've made that mistake, but for me it was just a typo. I can be patient with people though. I know sometimes I can get a bit patronizing. Lol As far as that statement goes, I want to point out that I'm still less then impressed by Alison. I have seen two pictures of her that I really like though.
  17. Oh hey, thanks man.
  18. People consistantly get things wrong, and the more they do it, the more they confuse other people, and as a result, we end up with even more confused and wrong people. It's a vicious cycle and it's very frustrating. I get tired of explaining things to people, especially when it's something that common sense should have told them awhile ago.
  19. Don't worry about hitting the triangle button unless you're falling and the button is displayed on the screen. Just focus on holding down the direction in which you are headed and jump off of the pole as soon as Lara grabs on to it.
  20. Maybe it sucks so bad that it will never come out. In that case... you have a pretty good idea of how bad it sucks just from that. Though I personally enjoyed the first Destroy All Humans on the Xbox. It was entertaining for awhile.
  21. Kurtis had great potential and I read that they intended to make a seperate game for Kurtis if he received positive feedback, however, since the game was not completed, Kurtis was a bit of a disappointment, and his feedback was... less then positive. Just another one of the tragedies that resulted from the cataclysm of AOD.
  22. I bought Siren on Ebay. It's a wickedly creepy game, and if you play it at night, alone, in the dark... it'll make you wanna crawl under the covers and cry. There's a lot of characters to play,(most of which I liked) and they each show up in different places at different times, and they all cross paths, it's brilliant actually. The one thing that bothers me about it though is the fact that it's REALLY confusing. The storyline still isn't clear to me... you start off as a guy in the beginning who witnesses some kind of ritual in the woods and when they spot him, he runs. And then after that a siren goes off and the whole thing goes to hell... literally. Then as you play a few more levels as him, now trapped in a world that's caught between reality and some strange paranormal alternate universe, you just seem to find more questions and less answers. Then out of the blue, you start playing as a completely different character, who is somewhere else at a different time (it may be an hour ago, or it may be the day after...). It get's confusing there. So let's say you beat a level... but it doesn't let you continue. Well that because you missed something and you have to go back and find a piece of paper that's locked in a box for some strange reason... okay, you got that and now you go back to a new level with a new character. This person has two objectives and one leads to one level and the other may lead to another. Okay... yes, confused? I am. BUT once you play through all the levels(there's a diagram of each day and person so you know what happens when) you can sort of put it all together. Now when you reach the end of the game with one character, you see what happens with him in the end. If you beat it with another character you see what happens to them in the end. But the game has so many secrets. And I'm sure I've made it sound more confusing than it actually is. I really honestly loved it though. You can learn the past of each character by their story, personality and objects that you find. You can learn lots about the town and the people and the creepy rituals. It's all really cool if you get involved. There's one item you find with a secret code and then later you find the thing that deciphers it(if you look closely, you don't even need to find the thing to decipher it). It turns out it's a website and if you go to that website, it tells you the story about it like it was a real town. It's really authentic and really cool. I was impressed. It's a very involved game... it's like you can actually get into it, even when your not playing it. The whole thing is a desperate search for answers, and some parts of it are REALLY hard. If you think, and try, and take risks, you'll make it far... but I still had to use an online walkthrough. Now if you're fortunate enough to find the strategy guide anywhere... BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been looking for that guide for over a year now, and I think it will make the whole game sooooo much less confusing. I want that guide so bad, but it's as hard to find as the holy grail or the ark of the covenant. If you have any questions, just ask. You know how to reach me. Have fun, and get involved! Good luck!!
  23. But these are all assumptions... we cannot know for SURE what actually happens right now. All we know is that Zip, Lara, Natla, and Winston are all involved. Here's the thing... Zip may only be trying to stop Lara from grabbing the hammer. Maybe he believes that it's too powerful and he doesn't want Lara to risk using something so dangerous. But Winston intervenes because he doesn't want either of them to be hurt. In which case, Lara may wound Zip. Or she may kill him. Or Zip may kill Winston. Or Winston may even kill Zip! Or who knows, maybe Alister walks out of the shadows and takes a shot at Lara and they all end up in a faceoff with some doves flying around like a John Woo movie. The point is that we aren't meant to know what happens next... we have to play the game to find out. And I personally don't want to know until I do get the game. It's exciting, I can't wait to see how the storyline plays out. Honestly I feel like I've seen a bit too much of the game already... like I may have already spoiled some surprises for myself, and I don't want to ruin anymore of the game. Though I do admit, it is fun thinking of scenarios to follow that cutscene. I have a feeling that everything is going to come together in the end. And I highly HIGHLY doubt that this is the end of Tomb Raider. Crystal Dynamics has only made 3 games, and it's bringing in the money faster than you can say "Beans on toast". It's just getting very complicated, but it may even have a "to be continued" ending. Whatever it is... it's going to be one heck of a ride. Oh and btw, I sure wouldn't mind taking another whack at Natla. That woman is some kinda freaky. And I think that technically she IS considered a god. Since she once ruled over Atlantis... and you know, she wanted to recreate it and all, and she had mystical powers and she's tough and virtually unkillable... you know how it is.
  24. I'm not that surprised that Natla is coming back. I always kinda figured she would. I had the assumption that the plot between TRA and Legend would soon merge. And of course, when it does, it becomes very complicated, and for Lara, very personal too. I think that's what this whole thing is about... it's become very much more personal now. I won't be surprised in the least when Amanda pops up again either. After all, Lara did let her live at the end of Legend. It's just a matter of time now.
  25. I always loved her as the voice of Lara!
