O.J. Simpson was considered for the Terminator, but the producers feared he was "too nice" to be taken seriously as a cold-blooded killer. In 1990 (before Simpson's first trial) Dark Horse Comics printed issues using his likeness.

Lance Henriksen was originally considered for the role of The Terminator. Writer/director James Cameron even made early sketches showing The Terminator looking like Henriksen. The original concept was for the character to be able to blend into a crowd. Cameron approached Arnold Schwarzenegger and wanted him to play the role of Kyle Reese, but after their meeting, Schwarzenegger and Cameron both wanted Schwarzenegger to play the title role, so Henriksen was cast in the role of Det. Vukovich. Curiously, Henriksen later got to play the part of a humanoid cyborg when he played Bishop in Aliens (1986), also directed by Cameron.

James Cameron's original idea was that Skynet would send two Terminators at once: one would be a cyborg, while the other would consist of liquid metal and was able to shape-shift. Cameron realized early on that this latter effect could not be realized with the special effects at the time, so he abandoned it early on. When a completely computer-generated special effect proved to be a success in Cameron's The Abyss (1989), he revived the idea of the liquid Terminator for the sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).

Tom Selleck was rumored to be cast as The Terminator, but was forced to turn the role down due to his commitment to the TV series Magnum, P.I. (1980). Kevin Kline and Michael Douglas were also considered.

When O.J. Simpson was still in the running to play the Terminator, a mockup movie poster was done with him instead.

I had no idea that a animated movie had been made off the video game Heavenly Sword. I just watched it on Netflix, its a good movie and worth a watch, if you have nothing to do for about an hour and a half.

I don't know if NK and Kim Jong-un were really responsible for the Sony Hack.

On one hand I like to think this movie is so irrelevant, no one should take it seriously as a real threat, not even the leader of another country hence why I want to believe that NK and Kim Jong-un really had nothing to do with the Sony Hack:

you'd think the leader of another country would have better and more important things to do than worry about a made in America fictional movie.

On the other hand if NK and Kim Jong-un and his minions were really behind the Sony Hack, it makes you ponder if they are straight in the head and whether they really do pose a threat to the rest of the world?

Either way, politics and speculations aside,

I can't recommend this movie to anyone - not even for the $5.99 streaming rental price or a free download.

I guess you missed the obvious goofs and cliches and other things... and even if you never read the books, you should had caught them.

1. What happened to Sauron?

2. What happened to Alfrid?

3. What happened to Saruman?

4. What happened to Lady Galadriel?

5. What happened to Elrond? Elrond is an Elf but he didn't fight in the last battle. Is his tribe of Elves not the same tribe as Thranduil?

6. Were there really 5 Armies? You had Thorin's cousin. That's one. Thranduil's army. That's two. Azog's army of Orcs. That's three. The Laketown survivors and Bard but they don't really count as an army! Maybe a company if even that since they were so disorganized! Thorin had 12 Dwarfs with him. Do they count as an Army? Then the Eagles and those flying things giving air support to the Azog's army of Orcs, they don't count as an army! Then at the end you had a few dozen Goblins not enough to make an Army?

7. I didn't see Thranduil's archers fire any arrows at Azog's advancing army or maybe I missed it.

8. I was also waiting for Thorin to be either reunited with his long lost father or find out his father is still alive.

We see his father and Gandalf when Gandalf was in the cage chanting spells right before Galadriel showed up with Saruman and Elrund.

Then Radagast arrived to take Gandalf away but we din't see Thorin's father anymore.

What happened to him?

I hope Clint Eastwood wins another Best Picture and Best Director Academy Awards Oscar.

All the people who called Mr. Kyle a killer, a liar and other bad things and want to smear his name, his military career and his achievements in combat - which helped saved many U.S. soldiers should be sent to Afghanistan and Iraq - including Jesse Ventura who was only out to money grab from Mr. Kyle's estate.

We will see how tough they really are - it's easy to talk the talk but it's not easy to walk the walk!

Jesse ain't so tough.

All that wrestling crap he did was all fake!

All that tough stuff he did in the movies with Arnold Schwarzenegger was fake.

But he thinks he is a tough guy and he ain't!

Sent him out in the real world of blood and gore and death and violence.

He will cry like a sissy his first time in combat getting shot at with real live bullets.

They are both Elves,yes, but Elrond was the Lord of Rivendell while Thranduil was the King of the Woodland Elves. So technically no,they are not of the same tribe.

What happened?

Did all 3 of them had an off day while making this film?

I expected much much more from the 3 of them.

This was more like a Lifetime movie of the week or something like that....

I will add this over-rated over-hyped animated film to the list of other recent animated films that I didn't like which include Frozen, Wreck-It Ralph, Tangled, Monsters University and The Lego movie.

Noticed how Big Hero 6 and most of the films I listed were Walt Disney Animation Studios production?

Walt Disney = over-rated over-hyped emptying your wallet money grabbing junk!

Maybe there is a pattern of failure building at Disney?

This could had been a Jack Bauer "24" movie!!

I had 3 problems with the casting:

Michael Douglas is too old to be a Secret Service agent assigned to the Presidential Protective Division.

He was 61 when this movie was made.

If he entered the Secret Service when he was younger, he would have already been put on desk duty and not still guarding the President.

Eva Longoria is too short to be a Secret Service field agent especially one assigned to the Presidential Protective Division.

She is only 5 feet 2 inches.

David Rasche aka Sledge Hammer played the President and every time he appears on screen, I just couldn't see him as the President.

So Hollywood is going to reboot it with an all female cast including loud mouth obnoxious Melissa McCarthy and just to be politically correct and to attract a more diverse audience, have a Black actress as one of the Ghostbusters.

2 of the actresses in the quartet are Saturday Night Live actresses which means they have very little big screen big budget film acting experience which is not a good sign.

You might as well hand out blindfolds for the firing squad right now before the movie is even made!

Don't bother with that movie Ouija. I have been watching it for almost 5 days now and I just can't watch more than 3-5 min of it each time. It just won't hold my attention. Horribly written and over-hyped, just like Oculus was! UGH! Ok! Gonna go watch the next 3-5 min of it and in another 3 weeks I may finally see the end of it.

I just read on the internet that the entire 2nd 50% of the movie was reshot.

Here's a French Trailer for it and I can tell you 1/2 of the scenes in that trailer were not in the movie I watched.

Like you said, Melissa McCarthy is just loud mouthed and obnoxious in everything. Never really heard of Kate McKinnon or Leslie Jones. Kristen Wiig, I know she's been a few films, like the over-hyped Bridesmaids. I just can't see this working...unless they get some supernatural help.
