My grandmother just went to Peru about a year ago. Over 80 years old, and touring Peru! I'll have to look on my other computer -- I think I have some scenery pix she emailed me.

Wow, Purple, you have an awesome collection of TR comics! I'm so jealous! I only have the TR/Witchblade crossover comic. I also have 2 sets of AoD trading cards, an AoD lithograph 8 x 10, a TRIII mousepad, the Legend Game Guide you showed in your pic, several magazines with TR pics/articles, and a couple of other small things. What I'd really like to get is at least one Lara figure. That'd be perfect! As far as the games go, I have the pyramid boxed PC version of TR III, TR's 1-5 for PS1, and AoD and Legend for PS2. I kept meaning to get a GameBoy version of TR, then "borrow" one of my kids' systems, but never got around to it. If we move onto AJ, in reference to TR only ('cause you don't want to know how much else I have, lol), I have both TR movies on DVD. Nice thread, btw.

Thanks for the info & link, Mike. I know that the prices compared to XP aren't that bad. It's just that by the time you multiply it by all the computers in the house, it gets to be quite expensive. We'll probably do it one at a time, like we did with XP. It's not like we need it on our laptops right away, anyway, so we're probably looking at getting 3 licensed copies over a few months -- one for me, one for my husband, and one for the kids' pc. I NEVER buy anything but legal copies of Windows. It's not just the fact that Microsoft might come and 'take me away'. It's also that I know a lot of hours go into making a product, no matter how many upcoming fixes there will be, so I'd feel guilty just cheating my way around it. I just wish they took into account that many families have several pc's, and gave a license discount for something smaller than a business license amount. I'll check around and compare prices before we buy, of course.

Also, before you uninstall, maybe you can check to see if Microsoft has issued any further updates. They're famous for releasing, then coming up with 'bug fixes' released through Microsoft Update.

Well, since not all your files can be shown, due to scroll bars, I can't be sure of all that you have. If you'd like, we can use remote desktop connection through msn. I can look at your files, and go through them step-by-step. It'd take about 1/2 hour to an hour tops. If you're worried about my credentials, I'm a certified computer programmer, and the head tech person at my library. I'm also certified in Windows, but Win 98 -- haven't coughed up the $$ for the XP test fee yet. I fixed my sister's computer from several states away! You can also allow me view control, with no access to change anything, and then you can delete what you want. In the meantime, please pm me the title of the game you want, along with the titles you don't, and I'll research the install files they come with. Whew! That's a long post, lol. P.S. I'd need a time that's good for you, EST is my time zone.

Do a file search for .ini files. If you know the possible file names, this search will go much faster. Try the game's name, followed by .ini or a shortened version of the game's name, followed by .ini. It'll probably be somewhere in your Windows folder, but a file search of the hard drive is a good idea. Then open the ini file using notepad. See if it's the game you're looking for. Here's the tricky part: Just in case you're wrong, don't delete the ini file. I usually rename it something obvious, like: stupid.ini also, there may be .dll's used, but sometimes these are shared, so you may want to try the ini file first. Another option is to look for gamename.log Most programs look there to see if a version's been installed before. Rename these, like I showed you. Then empty all Temp & Temp Internet files (even if you've already done it). Reboot your system & try again. Hope it helps!

It's actually called "Lab Scene", and it's by Craig Armstrong. So far, I haven't found any links to buy or download the song. Most people use Photoshop, PhotoImpact, or a similar program to layer the images & text together. As the available options for editing your picture increase, so does the price, usually. You can take a basic picture, crop it, blend the edges, and put it on a background. PhotoImpact also has an animated gif editor which creates moving objects like ripples across your picture. Some of the more complicated sigs can take quite a while. Maybe the members who make sigs more often than me would care to share their software used &/or tips?

Thanks so much for posting this, Blade! I can't believe AJ was just a state away from me. *Sigh* Oh, well, guess I'll have to be happy with a new AJ pic. My son was into Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture. He was even given a cardboard model to build a 3D version of a house. Amazing designer!
