Thanks for replying Kratos. But this isn't a barricade, as such. The battle takes place on the floor level of a three story building, where the solarii are trying to hoist a generator up with a pulley. You can target the pulley and drop the generator on several of them. To locate the action, Lara has just come through a tunnel, from a huge gun turret, and goes through a small gap, and then steam prevents her going back into the tunnel. If you use survival instinct, you can see a see a large section of floor (2nd level) on the right, highlighted. I had a look at ADIHD's video walkthrough, it's number 26. He doesn't do anything with the floor patch tho' like me he tried shooting it, grenades etc, and eventually leaves it. It's a minor point, but a small irritation....lol. Thanks again,

In the first combat, in the multi level building, there is a patch of highlighted floor on the second level, when you use survival instinct. Can anyone tell me what to do to break through it? I presume that's what is supposed to happen, but I can't work out how to do it. And I'm a bit puzzled as to why it's highlighted at all.. Thanks

Thanks shrensh. I finally decided that on the map. up in North, down is south etc! And experimenting with turning Lara by degrees, I realised that her green arrow does the same thing. doh! I panic at the sight of a map, so it's taken me this long to simply use my brain and work it out.

I am absolutely rubbish with maps and directions. Can someone tell me how I work out which direction Lara is facing at any given time? I've looked at the map page, noted the swirly wheel thing in the corner, the pointing arrow that represents Lara's position, but I can't see N, E, S, or W. Besides, I need the knowledge in game, when she's running about every which way (and I'm following someone's terrific walkthrough which mentions compass points, super wt so far, thanks Stella) Thanks for help.

I wish I knew how to post a video, because I found a nice glitch in the Summit Forest. Having killed all enemies, Lara went to a source of light only to find a disembodied yellow torch hanging in the air....

Hey, it worked!! I changed the aim and fire on the mouse, to z and v, (randomly) and Lara threw the lantern and blew the place up. Thanks Stella, I would never have thought of doing that. I guess it will work in the Tomb as well, I shall go there now, and try.

Many thanks Stella, I can always rely on you to help! I do hold the aim button, but I haven't tried changing the controls. Will do that next.

Is anyone else having a problem with throwing lanterns? What happens to me is Lara picks up a lantern , aims it in the right direction, but instead of throwing it, she drops the lantern and draws the gun. I was unable to get past the lantern room and had to use a savegame. I also couldn't do one of the tombs, for the same reason. Any advice?

It's only a game, don't get so involved.....anyway. I am the real Lara, so you can feel sorry for me!

I agree, the timing is pretty fine on this QTE on the PC too. I had to have loads of goes to hit the interact button at the exact right moment, but it was possible, eventually. It sounds like you may have to guess when to hit the triangle, so good luck!

Hi Stella, I'm the 'old' (71) tr fan who messaged you the other day, asking about the walkthrough for TR 2013. This is where I show my inexperience....I'm going to try to e mail you my save, but not sure if I can do it. Have to say, however, that I'm making my way through the game....and no walkthrough!! Getting stuck now and then, but astonishingly I'm 30% through it. Can't tell you how that makes me feel. But I will always need hand-holding......

Well said Stella, it's good to be friendly and peaceful!! We get all the excitement we need in the game. I have just conceded that I need your save game, as I cannot move out of the room where Lara throws a lantern through a window. Been trying for two days. It's a shame to admit I need the help, thank goodness there's always Stella!!

yes, and the arrow goes through the window on a falling arc. Lara throws, there's a clanking noise as if the lantern has landed, but it is still on the floor beside her. I'm going to go back to an earlier save and try again. In the meantime, if anyone else has this problem, or knows what to do, I would be glad of help. Thank you Strench, I hope you'll keep trying to puzzle this out....I'm beginning to wonder if I've hit a bug.

Yes, I've tried all combinations of the right and left mouse buttons. I thought it would be like aiming and firing the arrows, but nothing works re throwing lanterns. I'm trying to aim accurately, from different parts of the room, maybe it's a question of finding exactly the right place to throw from? It's getting really frustrating. I must be doing some thing wrong. Or maybe I've missed something important I should have done previously. Is it perhaps a timing issue, I have to get back to the lantern room very quickly after turning the gas on? Thanks for your reply btw, much appreciated.

I have been trying all afternoon to throw the lanterns, but Lara just drops them. She makes a throwing action, but then just draws her gun without throwing the lantern. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.
