Outrun the landslide... arrrrgggg
For me part of the difficulty was that the timing is different than prior Tomb Raider games, with SOTTR, Lara has to react earlier than what I would expect to hazards, while in prior games, Lara generally had to wait until the last moment before reacting to hazards. The other thing is SOTTR continues the tradition of Lara being able to magically turn mid-air during a jump or drop, something that goes all the way back to TR1.

confusion caused by co-op stuff in DLC's
When doing the DLC tombs, some of the interactions were momentary, mostly opening doors that immediately shut when Lara releases whatever triggers them. It finally dawned on me that these triggers are intended for co-op play, where one player does something to hold a door open to allow the other player to go through the doorway. In the case of the Forge, there's one doorway like this, but in single player mode, it automatically opens after the player progresses to a certain point in the tomb, so it doesn't make much difference in that case. For Howl of the Monkey tomb, there are a couple of doorways that require co-op, but it seems that all there is inside are some canisters with supplies, and not any essential items.

Howl of the MOnkey Gods Challenge Tomb
The platform can be moved half of the way so you can use it to jump over to the room on the other side and below, although you should be able to use the rope to get over there also. Once in that room, there's a breakable barrier, which can be used for backtracking, and the rope can be used to go back to the winch, assuming you don't cut the rope, if you do, you'll need to back track to cross back over on the higher level, then drop down when you reach the winch again. You didn't mention where you are stuck.

Lara returns to an altered state of Flooded Archives
Lara is sometimes able to get up the wall returning to Flooded Archives before getting climbing arrows (probably a game glitch, I've only been able to do this twice). If she does this just after the QTE event, Flooded Archives is in flames, and the deathless archers are around, going through the motions of shooting arrows (but without any actual arrows). I took a video of this

where did the empress jaguar go?
No, I tried the sequence I mentioned and the jaguar did not respond. You do get the hides from salvage caches, but that is random.

challenge tombs
The forge has multiple paths. After the second pendulum (and third pendulum) inside the main forge area, Lara can get to the left ledge, back track, and press a switch to emit gas from the left serpent head, then jump down and use the second pendulum to go to the right path with the circling spikes (this probably only helps for score attack). Once at the main column, there's a ring that can be pulled down with a rope arrow that opens a doorway that connects the outer perimeter lower path to the outer perimeter middle path, but it quickly releases the door. Once the platform is raised to some point, that doorway automatically opens, so I'm not sure if there was some last minute change, or I just haven't found something on the platform to make a rope bridge to hold the doorway open.

where did the empress jaguar go?
My guess is that you can get the empress jaguar twice. The first time before Lara chats with the local that reveals the empress jaguar, the second time after chatting with the local that reveals the empress jaguar on the map.

Wall run sequence in City of the Serpent note
On some of the wall runs, I had to switch from pressing left or right to pressing forward just after Lara starts the jump in order to get a wall run + jump to work. Similarly on some of the grapple or jump and grab sequences, especially ones where Lara is sliding down some slope or in a QTE, I had to press grapple/grab earlier than what I would expect for the grapple/grab to work. In prior Tomb Raider games, it worked better if you waited longer before pressing grapple/grab.

The Forge Tomb - right side path with spikes
I've looked on youtube for score attack videos to pick up the few score items along the path shown in the video, but can't find any. At the start of the video, Lara is facing the second pendulum, and prior to the start of the video, the gas was initially emitted from the right serpent head. Lara needed to get to the left side from either the second or third pendulum, then pushed a switch so that gas is emitted from the left serpent head, then jumped back down to face the second pendulum again, which is where this video starts. The pistol flare round can be used for a delayed ignition of the gas as shown in the video.

Can't equip classic TR outfits
I forgot to mention, for the final game phase started by Lara talking to Etzli, Lara switch to any top or boot cover (just not complete outfits) before talking to Etzli, and complete the game with that top and boot covers.

Can't equip classic TR outfits
If in lower (not upper) Paititi, Lara can wear any top or boot cover combination, and all this does is disable chat with some of the locals. The merchants and main storyline characters will still interact with Lara regardless of what she is wearing. I didn't check if all the missions require specific outfits.

Invisible wall bug in Hidden City - I'm stuck!
What versions are broken? I see version 247, 243, in addition to 241 which should work?

Lower Paititi - small ledge with nest - difficult to get to
I think I was trying to use the grapple jump instead of the scramble jump after the scramble jump didn't work after a few tries.

Lower Paititi (HIdden City) - chatting to locals for map reveals (spoilers)
Thanks I updated my prior post. The wolf den is where Lara first enters Paititi. I had to press the map (tab) key to see the reveal for some of these, and the reveal could be due to location rather than due to the chat with a local.

Lower Paititi - small ledge with nest - difficult to get to
I made a video showing one way to get to that ledge, but I suspect there is supposed to be an easier way.

Lower Paititi (HIdden City) - chatting to locals for map reveals (spoilers)
I made a list of the locals that reveal items on the map, although you have to press TAB on PC for the dice mission castouts. I’m wondering if I missed any. Lara can chat with other locals to get hints (like underwater pathways), but I’m wondering if there are any other map reveals other than the ones I listed below. During the dice mission, I don’t recall Moraekah stating why she was cast out, instead she talks about Lara, then selling her stuff. - castout reveals: - man that knows where cult gold drop off is => gold under barrier - woman saved by outsider => condor feathers - woman and jade necklace => jade in north water - hunter => white (albino) capybara - moraekah merchant doesn't have reveal - other local reveals: - woman in hut ne area => crypt - man at nw entrance to abandoned village => wolf den - man at w entrance to crypt + tomb => path of battle tomb

Garbled sound and/or silence
I'm not having problems with any other game. I'll check, but it's unlikely there is a new sound card driver and little chance this is an issue with the video card driver as the graphics are fine. Other people have posted about the same problems at steam community, and as in my case the problems started with an update. In my case, with version 235 or older, if the sound didn't start off garbled at initial start up, it never went bad, while with 243, it goes bad randomly, and now also goes silent.
-
Garbled sound and/or silence
The problem is with the game. Version 235, had the garbled problem, maybe 1 in 5 times when it was started. Exiting and restarting cured the problem. Version 241 cycles on and off with the garbled sound and/or going silent at various spots in the game. I'm pretty sure that version 241 update actually reinstalled the entire game.

Garbled sound and/or silence
With version 235, I would occasionally get garbled sound at game startup, but exiting and restarting the game would solve this. Then Steam dropped version 235 from the beta list and force upgraded SOTR to version 243, and now the sound is randomly garbled or it goes silent for a few seconds. My system: Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, Intel 3770K 3.5 ghz, 16GB ram, GeForce 780ti enthusiast video card, Creative Fatal1ty X-Fi sound card. I changed the settings for the sound card from 24 bit 48000 hz to 16 bit 48000 hz, which helped a bit. I still get the garbled sound and silence but less often, and if the sound is garbled, alt-tabbing to desktop and returning to the game usually fixes it a while.

kuwaq-yaku.
On my PC the saves are in the users folder, users\account\documents\shadow of the tomb raider\#####\ ... , where ### is some long number. save202.dat is autosave, save204.dat is backup save, save206.dat is last camp save. save1.dat, save2.dat are user saves. I've just been backing up the autosaves into zip files rather than use the save slots.

new game + | all items from any path
I've done a partial play through with new game + choosing the eagle path. Which path you choose only matters at the start. You get 3 game + specific skills, an outfit and a weapon, for choosing a specific path. You can get the "other" 6 skills, although it costs 24 skill points. You can buy the other weapons and outfits once you reach the merchant at Kuwaq Yaku. Lara starts off with all of her inventory (like lock pick, rope ascender, ...), outfits, skills, and all weapons once a certain type of weapon in enabled. At Cozumel, if Lara had the lockpick from the prior run, she has it on new game + and can open the chest for 100% complete on Cozumel on the first run through. The knife doesn't start off upgraded, so Lara has to return to cut open the two barriers there. At plane wreckage site, Lara has to upgrade the knife again, but it goes immediately to finely crafted knife if that is what she had before. Once she gets the bow, she gets all of them. After doing the jungle "loop" back to plane wreckage camp, fast travel is enabled, and since Lara had upgraded knife, I fast traveled Lara to Cozumel's Tidal Caverns camp to open the two barriers, and noticed that the rifles and shotguns became enabled, but not the pistols. I was able to upgrade the bolt action rifle there. Going back to jungle, the rifles and shotguns were gone. Once Lara is done with the soldiers on the way to Kuwaq Yaku, she gets all her weapons back. By this point in my play through, Lara is maxxed out on most inventory, including gold ore and coins. The coins can be spent on buying weapons and outfits from the "other" paths. Completion of a tomb only shows tomb complete, without the skill pop up if Lara already has the skill from the first run through.

new game +, jaguar path, jaguar speed?
It the Collector's Companion Tome (game guide), it mentions jaguar speed in one part of the guide, but in game and later in the guide that skill isn't there and instead it shows jaguar's intimidation. Are there hidden skills when selecting a new game + path, or is this just an uncorrected mistake in the guide?

Ideal game-journey pathway; general cogitations
There are a lot of side quests like gathering resources, missions, crypts, tombs, ... . When doing these side quests, Lara gets XP which translates into skill points, and the crypts and tombs also reward skills, so it's probably better to do as many of the side quests as possible before advancing to the next milestone marker which advances the main story. In some cases, Lara can't backtrack once she's reached some of the milestones, and has to continue ahead until she reaches a camp where fast travel is enabled.

Peruvian Jungle - Jaguars - arrows useless?
In Peruvian Jungle, shooting the jaguars has little, if any effect. Lara can just dodge and heal as needed. Apparently it is a canned sequence where the two jaguars cycle through the area, and after some number of cycles, the sequence just ends, even if Lara never shoots either of them.

Paititi side-mission count
The mission count is 10 when Lara first visits Paititi. I think it increases to 11 when Lara returns from Cenote.
