Hi Tom, Thanks, I did try that after I posted here and I try a few other combinations for about 30 minutes. Then I installed Legend and had the same problem. . . So I got onto Steam and bought Underworld for $4.99 and after a big download and install, Underworld worked frist go. YAY. Now I happly playing Underworld for the first time Awesome to hear about LCO credit in the new TR.

Hi, Anniversary wont start on my windows 64bit PC. I have tried the following:- I have installed it by right click on D:/setup and install as Administrator I have turn off DEP for tra.exe The Problem:- WhenI try to run it, I get a little CD spinning icon while it checks the CD is in the drive, then about 10 seconds later I get a blank main screen and flashing second screen Anyone can help??? MY PC is windows 64 with all latest drivers and patches (no patches applied to TRA, are there any?) Have two screens 30" and 24" and graphics card GeForce GTX680. I trying to run the game on the 30" U3014 screen. Thanks All Mick

Thats a null pointer issue. Its trying to read/write or address some data at memory address zero. Could be a badly behaved programmed or a bug. make sure you have updated everything to latest version and have the latest drivers and firmware install. Remove UN-install programmers that you don't use, might help and other waste of time crap, like all google programs, and tool bars, yahoo tools bars etc. . . Actual once you load a goolge (who are actually the NSA) program into your PC, its difficult to remove it, ever.

Jump into a dos box and pipe (>) dir to a txt file, like this: C:\Users\J7\Documents> dir > MyList.txt you can do help command C:>Help dir Can see /O option for sorting and other options for formating like /N You can also import the txt file into excel and sort it. Maybe key is stuck down and when you bash the keyboard is pops up a bit and allows the other keys to work. Do you have to push down extra hard to get the key to work? Most keyboard use a soft silicon rubber under the hard plastic key cap. The soft silicon presses down on carbon contacts on the PCB material. If carbon coating as has been damage by liquids or corrosion, then you it needs replacing. Keyboards for laptops usually easy to replace. Although make sure it not a software problem first.

Maybe a faulty switch under the scroll wheel. The optical readers are seperate to the switch, the optical readers can still work even if the switch fails.

No PC version for Beneath the ashes??? should have been a apart of the original game. We all suffer because some mis-guided marketing idiots at Edios and Microsoft. I guess this why i have not yet bothered buying underworld. Maybe i get Underworld, when its $9.95 just before the next version is out :-)

Windows 7 is vista with many bug fixes and speed improvements. I been testing some of our software on it. its faster than Vista. They removed most of the UAC. Vista is awful, Win7 seems to work much better. At work we been using vista for about 12 months and we still have connection issues with it. Whereas Win7 never had this have this problem. Although, I don't use either at home, Just a tuned XP machine, is very fast. and a linux box. As far as speed goes, try install SP3 into XP, i noticed a speed improvement with this SP. When my friends use my PC they ask why it runs so fast. You maintained your PC well ( only have 26 processes in the task Manager ) ? etc... 20 minutes of suggested tuning solutions and they total confused. u want fast loading web pages? use Firefox with ad blockers, its the banners and ads that take long time to load from overloaded servers.

Default mapping for this game requires 3 hands. A hand for the “g” target lock, a hand for the mouse and a hand for the movement keys. To further compound the controls problem is that the movement keys a relative to the camera and not Lara. This is truly idiotic. Imagine driving your car and the controls operated the same as tomb raider anniversary. As soon as you look sideways your steering function would swap to the brakes and accelerator, and when you turn your steering wheel to the right the car would drive straight and accelerate. Talk about counter intuitive.

Interestingly that this failure to do T-Rex dodge is such a popular Topic is. I also have not been able to dodge with much success. After many hours of trying, I started wondering how someone could programmer such a poorly implemented key controls. Nope i got one of those MX logitech wireless mice at home i used with TR games, and i use microsoft wireless mice at work, i never seen any wireless mice lag. If it does not lag in windows then i will not lag in the game.

WELL.. .. I try using the arrow keys and I actually did a doge. BUT i must doing something totally wrong. . . as you have to use the Left shift key + a right or left arrow + the right mouse button?? now i only have 2 hands? and this seem impossible to do with only two hands does any one know how to do this on a PC? thx OK, i will try that thanks Gia

what are the directions keys? the ones that Stella talks about in the Adrenaline Dodge, these are the direction keys that you combine with the leftshift? are they the WASD keys or the up,down,left,right arrow keys ? does it make any difference which ones you use? thx

Give the gamesp0t site the flick, put it in your ad block list YAY, is much better at gameswelt, is 20 times faster, take less then 20minutes way to go, good find.

the other thread was lock so i post it here The Demo is not really available, the file is 250MB and the crappy gamespot site is so slow that it takes 8 to 10 hours to down load it. I would blame Eidos for this, just releasing to one game site is not right. Should be released everywhere, then there would not be a bandwidth bottle neck. And how come there are people out there with the Entire Game already? Some ppl have pre-release version of the game.

must be aweful to have ppl with cameras follow you erverywhere and have other ppl post pictures of you all over the web

Something i notice and miss in the new graphics is the colorful bright golden colors of the Egyptian levels of the old games. They bright and colorful walls, the painted hieroglyphic are so pretty in the old games. I hope they just don't stick to the drape grays and depressing dull shades we seen in the new games so far.
