We don't have that drink in my neck of the woods  lol.

I don't drink much anymore so I haven't even looked for it when I go to the grocery store.

You can't drink when you have kids.

Every now and then I may have a glass of wine (well, they take a wine glass and fill it half way but on the menu it's listed as wine by the glass) with dinner at a nice sit down restaurant but that's not very often:

maybe once every couple of months.

Most of the restaurants we take our kids to do not serve alcohol anyway and even if some of them do, we hardly ever order any.

$16 in convenience fees? $1.62 a ticket? You can’t no longer buy tickets at the box office spontaneously - they make you buy tickets online in advance and pick out your seats at time of purchase and after you show up at the theater if you have someone tall in front of you or someone behind you who kicks the back of your seat or who talks loudly, you can’t no longer get up and change seats - then they charge you this so called “convenience” fee for the convenience of purchasing online in advance and for being able to pick out your seats. The tickets were $4.99 each. The convenience fee is the equivalent of 3+ tickets!!

 

I'm am appalled that no one goes after these businesses. They have turned it into a monopoly that needs to be broken.

You can't go to a concert anymore and when you go online when they go on sale they are sold out and have to buy from

a re-seller. How did they get the tickets before you?  When people are fed up and don't buy things might change.

I have a friend who lives there.

We went to high school together.

She couldn't evacuate.

She has a mother who has Alzheimer's and dementia and is under constant bed ridden care.

There was no way to put her in a car and go through this:

I am worried about her.

4 hours ago she says her power is out but she is still posting updates on Facebook.

One of the only 2 roads North and Northeast out of Panama City also has a bridge over the waterway and that bridge has been officially closed for hours now.

 

So she and the rest of the folks who didn't evacuate are stuck there.

Just heard from my friend for the first time in almost 9 hours.

The hurricane has passed and it's well far away to the north of Panama City.

It's no longer raining and windy.

She is still without power and her home didn't get flooded or get damaged but it most of the rest of the city didn't fare so well:

She was reposting post by other residents in Panama City on Facebook like the single mother with a newborn baby stuck in her 2 story apartment and the first floor is flooded  - she posted her address and unit # begging for someone to come save them.

Very heartbreaking!

Not the first time something like this has happened in a MLB game.

STUPID dumb moronic idiotic fans.

It's like being on a public transportation bus: do not extend your arms and any other limbs outside of the bus through the windows.

If you continue to do so and ignore the instructions of the bus drive, you will be asked to disembark the bus.

Same thing should apply when they are in their seats at a MLB game:

any fans who extend their arms and limbs outside of the purview area of their seats and interfere with the outcome of the game or with the players on the field, they will be asked to leave and banned from ever attending another MLB game that season and if they have any tickets for any future games they have already purchased, not only do those tickets get voided, they also don't get a refund.

Put a net along there like they do in Hockey.

You don't see fans at NFL football games or NBA basketball games trying to catch the ball and ruin plays.

That is one of the things I've always laughed about in baseball games, whether it be highschool, college, pro, etc.

That baseball goes towards the fans, all hell going break loose in that slug fest slaughber knocker

Plus she was an employee in the strawberry industry.

Imagine the distrust she has now created not just for strawberry and other fruits producing employers, but also for the consumers.

Plus all those strawberries (and other fruits) being pulled off the shelves results in no sales and no income for the strawberries/fruits producers and losses in the millions which will result in employees being laid off and their families facing difficult times and hardships.

She has cost the industry millions, spawned copycats, and devastated strawberry farmer's businesses all over the country.

I'm so sick of criminals like this getting away with everything.

How about she will be deported. She will be imprisoned. She will never be allowed to work in Australia or any other country again.

My 61yr old dad still thinking he is f* Ironman. At work last week fell back and tore back muscle and cracked ribs.  Luckily since it was on the job they sent him to a "quick doc" and got him bandaged and pain meds;  dad would be the one going "I can't breathe, but I can still walk".

Years of manual labor, working on warships, playing "jack of all fixing" on the rented trailers on his property, On Top of never going to doctor (outside his staff infection that left huge hole in his neck), his bones and spine are all sorts of f*d up. And few months ago fell backward on riding mower and was KO'd for 3hrs with no one around.

Good thing he is hard-headed (figure AND Literal) and retires next year.  How do you tell "Ironman" to sit the fk down and act like an old person"  ??

The month of December was not about Christmas.

It was about farmers celebrating the abundant crop harvest before the winter hits and about the change of the seasons and the coming of the new (with another hopefully plentiful crop) year.

Someone selfishly decided to take it and make it as their own, create a brain washing cult and make it about religion and the birth of a fictional character in their fictional book.

Now in many places it's not even about religion anymore, it's about how much freaking money Capitalism loving companies can separate the masses from and all about give me give me give me expensive items that a few weeks after Christmas, most of those items are sitting somewhere forgotten, gathering dust, or have become paperweights.

There are folks who even get offended when you wish them "Merry Christmas". You are supposed to be careful and sensible because you don't know who may find "Merry Christmas" offensive, so you are supposed to say "Happy Holidays" now instead of "Merry Christmas".
