Gump and Co. (2009?)

FORREST GUMP is set to return to the big screen, 13 years after TOM HANKS turned the unlikely hero into a movie sensation. Hanks, who won an Oscar for his portrayal of the slow-witted Gump, is considering a return for the sequel, while co-star GARY SINISE has reportedly shown interest in reprising his character, LIEUTENANT DAN. According to a movie website, celebrated screenwriter ERIC ROTH's 2001 Gump sequel screenplay is being tweaked by producers STEVE TISCH and WENDY FINERMAN, after they settled an ongoing rights battle with Gump creator, novelist WINSTON GROOM. Roth's sequel script is reportedly based on Groom's Forrest Gump follow-up, GUMP + CO.

The plot in a nutshell: Jenny is dead, Bubba Gump Shrimp goes belly up, and Forrest is a single dad trying to find his way through the 80s and 90s. Some of the historical events include: Playing football for the **********, selling encyclopedias, working on a pig farm, helping to develop the infamous *********, accidentally crashing the *******, helping destroy the ******, and fighting in Operation ********. He meets many celebrities, including Oliver North, the Ayatollah Khomeini, Jim Bakker, Ivan Boesky, Ronald Reagan, Saddam Hussein, and the Clintons.

Forrest Gump is on my top 10 all time favorite movies and I would love to see a sequel!!

They are talking about a sequel, well I heard Kane has signed on for one - doesn't mean anything. All I know is they better explained how he comes back to life.

Whats wrong with it?

I wacted Let's Go to Prison last night. I thought it would be a little funnier, but it was alright.

I also watched this movie called Evil Behind You. What a WASTE of 90 mins.

I'm about to watch Crank and The Pursuit of Happyness.

I just watched a clip from Adam Sandler's new movie Reign over Me - in which he has a serious role - I'm not a big fan of AS but this film looks pretty good.

Spiderman 3 comes out in cinemas this year. I can't wait, i just can't.

I read about it being in the Top 5 for Most Advanced Action Hero Movie.

That is so cool. And i can't believe how many enemies Spiderman has in number 3.

There is Lizard, Sandman, Hobgoblin, and his own evil body Venom.

Plus look out for a scene near the end, there's supposed to be a shot of Electro.

So all up, spidey ha roughly five enemies and one gorgeous young girl to protect.

Go Spidey!!! Go!!!

I just don't like the fact that they picked that guy from that 70's show (Erick) to be venom They could have gotten Batista or The Rock to play the part.

While Shrek the Third isn't even out in theatres yet, the DreamWorks Animation team is already working on Shrek 4. When ComingSoon.net visited PDI (Pacific Design Images) in the Bay area recently, production designed Guillaume Aretos was really tight-lipped about the film, but he did say it was definitely in the works.

"We know there is a 'Shrek 4' and I know the story. It's actually very good and very funny," he confessed. But, when asked if it's in pre-production, Aretos smiled and said, "I am going to use the Scooter Libby thing. I do not recall."

We did manage however to find out a little more about another project called "Shrek the Halls," which is a half-hour Christmas special that will air on ABC. Art director Peter Zaslav told us that while there will be a couple of new characters, it will primarily consist of ones that we are already familiar with.

"We're visiting some old environments and all the core groups of characters. It really integrates seamlessly, I think, with taking place where 'Shrek the Third' left off," Zaslay said.

We couldn't help but ask if it was going to be anything like the "Star Wars Christmas Special."

Zaslay laughed, "Hopefully not, unless it's cult classic kind of status. It's actually going to be on for fifteen years every Christmas. That's the plan. So it has to be visually and story-wise up with all the 'Shrek' films in terms of quality. So far it's looking really good."

We also wondered about the spin-off with Puss in Boots. Tim Cheung, the head of character animation, admitted it is a possibility.

"I think there's always been talk with these characters to [do it]. This is a huge franchise for DreamWorks so I think if all things line up, I think they'd be interested in doing stuff like that. I haven't heard anything yet exactly but I just work here. They tell me what to do."

Me and Panther went to see Mr Bean last night. Good light hearted fun! Enjoyed it a lot!

Becky went to see that on Wednesday, whilst me and Hannah went to see Sunshine - what a load of old pap! I honestly thought this would be a good film - I'm a fan of Cillian Murphy - but, it was just weird - I think too much attention was taken up with the 'special' effects, which just added to the confusion. There was a really funny bit where an astronaut didn't make it to the airlock, floated in space, completely froze over, got hit by part of the ship which decapitated his arm, which shattered into pieces as it was frozen, then he floated past the shields and, as the sun hit him, he exploded in a little 'poof' - it was hilarious and it made me think of Homer and Bart on the airship to the sun episode. Anyway, if you're thinking of going to see it, don't bother!

Last night I watched the original version of Gone in 60 seconds that was made back in '74.Info

Basically it is not that bad.The main highlight of it is the car chase at the end. It is longer and more car crashes that I could count.
