Recently took a chance and rented A Scanner Darkly. Since it is based on a novel by an author (Phillip K. Dick) who had other books made to movie that I liked,I gave it a chance. It was ok,just not my cup of tea. The ones I liked were Minority Report,Blade Runner,Paycheck & Total Recall,

Hitman Signs Olyphant

Contract set with Deadwood star.

January 18, 2007 - Actor Timothy Olyphant, best known for his role in HBO's popular Deadwood series, has been circling the big-screen adaptation of the Hitman videogame for some time now. Just the other day, Olyphant told members of the press that he was not yet under contract for the film. But things change fast in Hollywood.... Today's Variety is reporting that the actor has now signed on the dotted line to play the lead role of Agent 47 in the 20th Century Fox flick.

The trade adds that Fox is eyeing the film as a possible franchise, and they've worked a deal for sequels into Olyphant's agreement.

French helmer Xavier Gens will direct from a script by Skip Woods. Luc Besson is producing along with Chuck Gordon and Adrian Askarieh. Daniel Alter co-produces.

Vin Diesel had been linked to the lead role, but passed to appear in Babylon A.D. instead.

Production on Hitman is set to get underway in Europe this March

Olyphant next stars opposite Jennifer Garner in Catch and Release. He'll follow that with the bad guy role in Live Free or Die Hard.

March 9, 2007 - During an interview today for his new film Angel-A, IGN was advised by none other than filmmaker Luc Besson that Scottish actor Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible 2) will co-star in the big-screen version of the Eidos videogame Hitman.

Action genre vet Besson is producing the Fox flick along with Chuck Gordon, Adrian Askariah and Daniel Alter. Xavier Gens will direct from a screenplay by Skip Woods.

Timothy Olyphant stars in the film as Agent 47, a bald assassin-for-hire who works for the shadowy organization known as The Agency.

IGN was told that Scott will play the man pursuing Agent 47.

Production begins at the end of this month in Prague for an October 12, 2007 release.

Dougray Scott brings with him a measure of fanboy cred given his status as the man first cast as Wolverine in X-Men, only to lose the role to Hugh Jackman after production on M:I-2 ran over schedule. He has also acknowledged being a candidate to replace Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, a role that eventually went to Daniel Craig.

Scott's credits include Ever After, Dark Water and Enigma. Before joining the cast of Desperate Housewives, Scott starred in the short-lived NBC series Heist.

Rented & watched Babel & Casino Royal this past weekend.......

Babel was pretty boring, in my opinion, but i enjoyed Casino Royal very much!!

I just watched Babel today!!

How can this movie be nominated for 7 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director?

This movie Sucks, Big Time (IMO)!!

It's slow, too long, boring, sometimes incomprehensible, and the only good thing it has going for it was the acting by a couple of the actors.

I also felt that the "GLUE" linking the stories of all the different characters from across the world together was paper thin and that the movie was trying too hard to be something it wasn't.

Finally, I was expecting a Powerful movie which will be thought provoking and it turned out not so!!

Stay Away!!

people are renting the movie at my stores and bringing it back extremely unhappy.

those members of the Academy need to have their brains checked!!

My recent picks thru netflix were Fight Club and The Dukes of Hazzard: the beginning

Fight Club doesn't quite fit as a title for the movie. It is almost something else entirely.While I kinda enjoyed it,it wasn't exactly my cup of tea. Good script,casting,production,directing,ect. It was too different to be called Fight Club.

This one is alot better than that theatrical version that starred Jessica Simpson. The casting is better yet I still have a couple of questions about who they cast for JD Hogg and Cooter.Christopher McDonald was certainly better than Burt Reynolds but not quite true to Boss Hogg of the series. As far as Cooter, I don't think is is so much as who they got but some of his dialog just didn't seem right. It made him apear a little "off" in the head.

All in all Fight Club got a thumbs down and The Dukes came back with a thumbs up.

I watched Little Miss Sunshine at the weekend and thought it very enjoyable. My hubby would have hated it (luckily he was away) but son and I were glad we chose it.

Bought Pan's Labyrinth. it's boss, get onto it...right now!

Didn't see Babel yet but I have two other films by that director, Amores Perros and 21Grams, and they're well good. Bit dissapointed to hear Babel isn't up to scratch.

I watched Little Miss Sunshine at the weekend and thought it very enjoyable. My hubby would have hated it (luckily he was away) but son and I were glad we chose it.

I loved that movie! Ohhhh SM3, I can't wait to see that one!
