Hi everyone, I've been a fan of Tomb Raider for a while, and today started re-playing TR3, my favourite. I found a fix for the sound on this forum, so thanks for that

er, Im on the Temple Ruins level at the moment... so, maybe a bit behind

also, I must admit I have never played the game fully before. When I was a lot younger I used to like watching my brother playing it, but all I did was mess around in Laras home I seem to have missed a lot, heh

Well, I'm at willard, but liek before, I can't kill him. I wish there was a cheat to make him freeze so he can't do anything.

I shall give ya some tips if you like. Willard is not that hard if you have saved a lot of Desert Eagle ammo so let's hope you have! I have done it with just pistol ammo before, and it is possible...it just takes a lot of time.

Highlight:

Follow these steps:

• Immeadiately at the start of the cutscene, withdraw your desert eagle.
• Continously shoot Willard as he is coming towards you and do not move.
• After 12 ( I think) he will keel over, so immeadiately holster the weapon and roll.
• Sprint towards the Artefact and let go of sprint about a standing jump before the artefact. Roll when she is about a 'square' away from the artefact and she should land directly atop it. Collect it.
• Next sprint for your life in a straight line and begin to arch right so that Lara follows the edge of the pit (You should see Willard begin to get up).
• Follow the pit in a run and stay (fairly) close to the edge of the pit. This puts Lara at a faster pace than Willard. Withdraw the desert eagle and hopefully he should be following you.
• (If you hear a sort of rumble or Earthquake effect, it means Willard has swapped directions. Counter-act and roll Lara so that she is facing the other direction and begin to run around the pit again)
• With the Desert eagle withdrawn follow Willard and hopefully your Desert Eagle should have him in your sites.
• Shoot him about 11 times or as much as you can, and then stand in front of an artefact tunnel (Which has an artefact in it).
• Face outwards towards the pit and shoot Willard again. If you have shot him 11 times it should only take 1 shot from the Desert Eagle.
• Holster the weapon, roll and sprint towards the artefact etc.
• Rinse and Repeat and he should be dead within no time!

Also, I'll help anyone who is stuck anywhere with anything if they post their save game. I will do the required part and then post it back!

actually, I am a bit stuck..

Its on the temple ruins level

I've come across some evil god thing, opened the door to get out, and have swum to the place where rubble falls on you under water and there is a poison dart launcher. I picked up the small medi pack then swam to the other side and went up the ladder, before backflipping onto a ledge behind it. The ladder doesnt seem to go anywhere, and I cant see anywhere to go, I see some high passages, so presumably you have to flood the chamber?

help would be appreciated... I cant find where I am in the walkthrough, but thats.. probably me..

If you are where I think you are, you'll need to look around for another ledge to jump too, on the left I think.

Ok, climb to the top of the ladder. Move Lara two arm lengths down, and then press jump whilst holding action. She'll backflip onto another ledge!

and I'm on 326 saves. I was going to try to do the game without using any medipacks, but that annoying woman kept shooting me and I didn't feel like doing the level over and over Besides, I'll have to use medipacks in the Antarctic levels anyway (unless I cheat a bit).

I have done the part I am stuck on, but I must admit- Im not enjoying this level at all (temple ruins). If it had ended with the two keys I would have been happy, but it just keeps going! I really liked the first level though.

(sigh) now I have to get another two keys

on the fate of Randy and Rory- I never thought that TR was that graphic

edit: Just finished the level- the keys wern't as spread out as before, which was nice. I didnt worry about secrets.

Just done the quad level, but I didnt mean to- I fell into the water below the waterfall, ran along and- it ended, heh

I hate this next level, Im gonna use a walkthrough- it ruins any fun, but there doesnt seem to be any and besides, I want the grenade launcher

Yeah, I hated Temple Ruins because one: it's to dark Two: It is a long level.

mm, well I'm on Nevada now, which I MUCH prefer, except I am stuck on a jump over a sort of triangular wall to the TNT cave. I managed it before with a running jump, but I cant get lara to actually run then jump this time, and she keeps falling down. its kinda like _/\_ but with a hole at one side and a slide at the other

I think I know where you are. You don't have to do a running jump there, but you do need to make sure that Lara is angled to the right so that she slides backwards down the slope on the other side and can grab the ledge. Jump and press right so that she turns while in the air, and then press Action so she will grab the bottom of the slope.

Im now on the High Security Compound level, and Im not enjoying it hugely.. does lara ever get her guns back? I had some unfired Uzis and an unfired Grenade Launcher, I would be sad if I'd missed my chance.

I'm on the same level, I'm actually not stuck but that level just ruined my enthusiasm for TR3 for a while, so I'm taking a break. Naturally Lara gets her guns back, I just wish they hadn't taken away all my flares! I was using the flares sparingly early in the game because I thought that you could hang onto them after the weapons were taken away, so I had like, 140 flares. If I knew they were all going to get taken away I would have been lighting a flare every other minute in Temple Ruins.

I'll get back to it soon, right now I'm playing a couple of RPGs that I've been meaning to get around to forever. I am looking forward to doing London +South Pacific +Antartica, it's really just the High Security level that bums me out.

I did the level, though it was using a walkthrough, I didnt enjoy one minute of it, to be honest. What I ment was do you get the contents of your old inventory back, which you dont. My grenade launcher, Uzis, Desert eagle clips etc all gone!

mm, I only found a couple of useful places to use a flare- once in the jungle level in the dark passage with a boulder and once in temple ruins with a dark room with a spike wall in the ceiling and two switches. That was nasty, in the pitch black with an ominous rumbling, heh

I'm so far behind. I haven't had a chance to play since before Christmas. I'm going to try to catch up this weekend.

Well hope you guys won;t get mad or anything but I just beat TR3.

heh, well done demonknight. My brother just bought all the older tomb raiders (up to 4) so I am messing about with the last rev atm. I really, really hate werner. I know how to play the game...

That's funny, I just started TLR for the first time yesterday too. I'm simultaneously in the middle of TRs 3, 4, and AOD. I think I'd better just stick to TR3 and finish one game before I get totally confused ><.

OT but I like Werner in a love-to-hate-him sort of way. I was totally expecting him to try to off Lara after the training level, he just seemed so sinister.

Anyway, I felt in the mood to continue TR today, so I finally finished High Security Compound. It was drudgery all the way, but it probably would have helped if I figured out that I needed to up the brightness on my TV sooner into the level^^;;. Being able to see where one is going is a very nice thing!

Now I'm wondering: Should I do London next because it's a tad easier than the South Pacific, or should I do London last so I have time to collect some friggin' flares again? I'm thinking the latter...

Yeah, I had mixed feelings about Von Croy. Even in the training levels at the beginning, he was a jerk. I still didn't like him when he turned good either.

Just finished the Coastal Village.

I love diving Lara off of high places...

Oh dear, it's the kayak level next I hate that kayak...

for me the kayak was very hard to control and a couple of times i had got eaten by the crocs. At least I think i remember crocs.
