The CSI games, I've always wanted to give it a shot since I'm into mystery and that sort of thing. Yeah, one really needs a hefty rig to run Crysis: although the game has specs lower than an Intel Core 2, a duo core and the latest video cards from Nvidia and/or ATI, and of course at least 2 gigs of RAM is highly recommended. Beautiful game and a great one at that too.

I figured he would ---- like me! Hook, line, and sinker. Lol. At the moment, I've logged in just over 20 hours of gameplay by doing a number of sidequests; I haven't yet touched the main plot. I want to level up as much as possible and collect as much credits too in order to purchase uber armour, weapons and various upgrades. And on the side, I have my character romancing the Asari scientist, Liara Back on topic, I played quite a bit of Uncharted today and man, is this game enjoyable. Action, adventure, with some doses of puzzles (very easy) and humour sprinkled in. It reminds me a lot of the Indiana Jones adventures --- tongue-in-cheek action. Highly recommended! I'm still searching for the reporter (forgot her name) and just finished this level where I'm up against numerous bad guys and some guy with a machine gun perched on an elevated level, running point. This was by far the most exciting gun fight yet: out of Ak-47 ammo and down to just 3 bullets on my 9mm, I literally had to make my shots count. It was something like out of the movies (ending of Die Hard and the warehouse scene in MI: 3)) --- outstanding!

Merry Christmas! Nice present! I'll eventually get Vista --- it's so dirt cheap here in Canada because not many have jumped onto the bandwagon. Many times I''ve been tempted to purchase my copy (it's going for under $100). Now that Sevice Pack 1 is on beta, I'll probably pick one up sometime next year. I may do a dual-boot on my computer; I'll wait to see what my best options are.

Picked my copy up a few weeks ago and played about an hour and I must say that I'm enjoying this game quite a lot. Much like a number of games recently released, Mass Effect comes to mind, Uncharted has a cinematic feel to it. The game has very likable characters. I just have to get used to the controls. For the moment however, I've put this game on hold, and every other game I've listed as currently playing on another thread, to focus on finishing Mass Effect.

Yup, I've just watched a number of gameplay videos on IGN --- this is definately a pick up for me! ( I digress from the topic: Motoko, I heartily recommend Mass Effect for your boyfriend to play if he doesn't know already about it. If he played and enjoyed Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, he'll certainly dig Bioware's latest game.)

No, I didn't pre-order my copy. As for the PC version, it will be released early 2008.

Add yet again to games I'm currently playing... Assassin's Creed (PS3) Mass Effect (X360) I seriously have to focus on at least 1 or 2 games if I'm to finish playing

This game's receiving very good reviews. Anyone picked it up yet or played the demo? This may be the final game I'm picking up this year.

That's too bad about BioShock; to each his/her own I guess. Gears of War I'm picking up tonight so I'll be able to finally continue and finish the game I started on the 360 (I traded in my used 360 version BTW for a good price since it's still in high demand).

Well, finally beat the game. That was a bummer of an ending... talk about a cliff hanger .... of sorts anyway... Would've loved to see a teaser trailer for Episode 3 at the end of the Credits such as the one in Episode 1.

UPDATE: LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga will be released on Nov 6 on the PS3, X360 and the Wii.

Motoko, you're way ahead of me. I'm still on my way to meet the Faery Lord (Ellen) but I'm stuck on how to beat that huge black porcupine-like monster --- any and all suggestions are welcome

Yes I did BP --- in the wee early hours of the morning, lol. Took me just under an hour to download. I took a stealth approach to the demo, which is imho, more fun than just simply blasting away. The demo also allows you to experiment with the nanosuit. I especially like the method that's implemented to equipping your weapon and nanosuit on the fly, very intuitive and quick. ATM, I have settings on HIGH with no AA with maximum resolution on my monitor, 1920x1200 and the game simply looks stunning ---- and that's on a DX9 configuration; I can't wait to see how it'll look on Vista DX10. The enemy AI, as expected is amazing; they will investigate, slight movements and sounds made in the bushes; and they will try to outflank you as well. I love it when I simply lie prone hidden in the bushes and allow them to come to me and my scoped line of fire and BAM! right in the forehead, with silencer on of course.

OK, thanks for the replies.... probably disconnect it since it isn't a particularly long cable when compared to the X360 cord plus the fact that I'd be moving the controller during gameplay --- and that's pretty cool btw!
