NG+ "Paths"
I'm a bit unconvinced by these "paths". Playing on "One With The Jungle" I've really not found the combat a challenge and none of the other aspects of the game are that challenging either. When I started the New Game Plus, then, I wondered what was going to happen. I was able to kill the enemies just as easily without the new skills, and so on, the bow seems barely any better than the one I used in the main game if it's better at all, I don't use the gun (which doesn't really look special) and the knife actually looks worse than the "finely crafted knife" as it doesn't carry the "extra resources" description so I haven't even bothered selecting it. You can buy all the other "path" skills for Lara anyway (I had 20 skill points by the time I could buy skills in NG+). When in Tupac Shakur, fairly early, she can buy all the extra equipment. Resources are so easy to come by that upgrading everything is no problem at all. As stated, though, what actual advantage did I get for the "Path" extras? Perhaps it's my "completionist" attitude to the game or maybe I'm just miserable - what does anyone else think?

Stuck after Trinity roadblock
You should be able to go back using the jump-and-throw-the-climbing-axe manoeuvre to get to the higher ledge. On a console, at least, exiting the game and restarting it can fix some problems. It's not clear what you mean, though; you indicate that there are arrows, cloth and oil so you should be able to make a fire arrow to burn the barrier. What exactly is it that is not working in the situation? Can you not pick up arrows? Does crafting fail? Is Lara not pulling out the bow?

Paititi side-mission count
yep - got to that point now cheers

Paititi side-mission count
Could well be that, yes. I had a feeling, though, that 11 was the count even on the first visit when I did the game the first couple of times round. Still, it seems the most likely answer, haven't found anyone complaining about a mission being removed. I've got into Cenote now, up to the camp immediately before the first fight with the beasties, should work it out soon enough.

Paititi side-mission count
I'm doing a new game plus and have got to Paititi I just noticed yesterday evening the total in the map for side-missions in Paititi is ten. The (completed) saved game I have shows eleven in this location. Anyone know anything about this? I've done almost no story activities in this region - is it simply progress, it'll change from x/10 to x/11 later on? I don't recall this from my first couple of goes at the game.

Inaccessible Gold Glitch Hidden City?
I'm more or less on this page. I've done that bit a few times and the gold's always been there first time around. It eventually respawns. The map label after talking to whoever-it-is doesn't seem to affect whether the gold is there or not, I don't think there's a link beyond "this is a marker to indicate that somewhere near here at some point gold appears".

Help, no Guns in the Oil Refinery?
Perhaps not the bit after the chase - or did you find a way of luring them out in the very last battle? I didn't see that possibility there, all the way through until the chase bit then it wasn't an option.

Help, no Guns in the Oil Refinery?
If I remember correctly, it depends how far you are in that sequence. She starts with a knife or maybe not even that (although she uses it in stealth kills regardless). After a while she gets a bow so you've gone down to the bit with the hallucinogen arrow skill. There's still an emphasis on stealth kills at this point, the bow helps, as does mud when you get to the point where you can use it. Just a bit further along other items become available, I think after a rather good cut-scene. If you have done the cut-scene and still only have a bow, it's possible to do the last bit with a bow (medicine and head-shot skill help!) but at that point it means something has gone wrong.

Retrieve champions bow
Looks like this bug got fixed with the latest update, you should be able to go there and do it now.

Shadow Update #3
I haven't checked my first "100%" run (which stuck at 98%) but the 100% one is not the only glitch that got fixed, it seems. Like someone else I had a situation where the Champion Bow mission didn't work but I just reloaded and I got to do that - cue Dr Croft achievement - and on going back to Uchu got the last outfit item - cue Completionist achievement. So that bug in the side-missions also got fixed. Almost quick of them.

why isn't it showing 100%?
I pre-ordered the digital Croft edition.

why isn't it showing 100%?
Another update. It seems the San Juan region collectable items in the map are also glitched. I avoided documents there and so on until after I'd got all the equipment. The idea was that I could at least get the equipment even if I didn't get 100%. Anyway, I got to nearly all the equipment; there's another bug preventing me from doing the final Paititi mission so I went back and did all the documents and relics in San Juan. Then I finished the game. Reloading showed a low percentage in San Juan. Looking at the map, it claims I've only got 5 out of 9 relics for example, but the greyed-out icons for them show I've got all 9. This is yet another bug, the previous run-through didn't have this issue, all areas were at 100%.

Retrieve champions bow
Ta-da! My second play-through and I've got this glitch. I noticed an oddity when going through everything in Paititi first time. I dug up the knife in the Sherlock Holmes side-mission before I spoke to the servant and I don't think it liked it; the mission was still showing as active for a while after although eventually the exclamation mark went away. The second of the Uchu missions also went a bit funny for some reason; after getting the amulet the interaction with him could be repeated (complete with 350 gold reward) every time I talked and at that point I didn't need cash. I also thought that I'd probably not seen the last of the bugs. The conversation changed after San Juan and he asked about getting the bow, or she offered, but as Evilbunnygirl wrote, nothing appears. I quit and restarted, etc, nothing doing. Another one for Square Enix to ignore. Thing that's most irritating is that it's difficult to see what caused this state of affairs. Evilbunnygirl, if you're reading, any recollection of anything that might have contributed? ttfn

skull cave pickup minor spoiler
Thanks for that. That's useful but I have a feeling it isn't that rosary - although I could be wrong - I thought that got picked up earlier. There was no indication of what it was, no name or prompt to press the "left" controller button. I'll make a note not to pick them up (if I do a third play-through) until after I've saved and copied the save file to another slot; then go outside the cave, run around and do whatever, then go back and open them. It's fine, no need to apologise!

I'm stuck (Spoilers Ahead!)
I did this again yesterday. You release the thingy and Lara comments it spins out of reach - you're at that point, right? You then climb further up the mast and jump back over to the rock wall, if I remember correctly, go around a bit then jump back to the central mast. Well, not the mast, the horizontal thing from which the sail hangs. You can tell I'm not a sailor.

Has Anyone Else Been Less than Stunned w/ the Visuals in SOTTR?
The message I got on the official forums is that PS4 should have 1080 as standard so if that is looking bad . . . well, I definitely think "Rise" looks better with my set-up. Not good.
-
general impression - spoilers and criticism
Overall . . . okay but not as good as "Rise" or "TR". Bugs seem to be on a par with "Rise", little more to say as we all know about that. Graphics on a "normal" Xbox aren't as good as "Rise" - poor. Story not as good overall although it wasn't awful. Random stuff like, "Oh, yeah the high council of Trinity happen to show up and die off-camera". Rourke's death was a bit tame; given her, "You're fucking dead," comment regarding the man, why did the red woman kill him, not Lara in some really vicious manner? She hides guns and unearths them again but it's not really explained why certain outfits and weapons are not available in the meantime. Early hints at Lara losing the plot a bit with her obsessive nature weren't really followed-up and should have been pursued more fully, that was an easy way to add tension and drama, it's an 18 so why not do that? The cut-scene in the oil refinery was good but could have been more as a culmination of losing a bit of humanity during her journey in the game, that could have been much darker and more powerful. As it is she just got out of the lake, stabbed "another bloke" and then went on shooting people. Short chat with Jonah following that to "regain" her humanity was a bit . . . weak. Maybe I'm just a miserable git but do feel there were missed opportunities.

Stuck in the post-game (spoilers for the Cenote)
The camp-fire in that "room" in the Cenote is not obvious by just looking around as it's against a very yellow back-drop so to see it you might have to be quite close to realise it's a camp. It should show up on the map and allow a waypoint to be assigned to it to make life easier.

skull cave pickup minor spoiler
No, I don't think so. Remember the discussion about the document and relic that were visible due to backpacks/maps but were "unfindable"? It's the relic in the skull cave, you have to go to it and press Y (or whatever). So after whatever-it-is that moves Jonah and Uchu to the Skull Cave from Unuratu's home (for no apparent reason as the latter is just empty and the former is not exactly hard to find but, well, whatever) Lara starts in the Skull Cave and there are these two things that can finally be unlocked. The game's got bugs in it. Actually something did occur to me earlier which indicates the 100% glitch might get fixed very soon; the DLC from the game pass includes outfits, right? Well, the glitch prevents extra outfits being added. So the shiny DLC might be bugged at the start with people not able to see the shiny DLC content - and that might just be so bad for a game developer that they'll consider actually fixing it.

skull cave pickup minor spoiler
I got to the skull cave on my second go and something happened that I remember from the first go. There's an artefact but there was no text when I "opened" it and it's not at all obvious to me what that one was. Subsequently there were two, I think, other pick-ups where there were XP but no written message about the pickup and no press "left button" to open that menu. Any thoughts?

Help! I accidentally saved over my game! Possible to restore?
As far as I know there are two "levels" of saving, so, sort-of yes - but it's unlikely to be that helpful. If you go to the "load game" screen then press LT and RT together it'll bring up a different set of back-up saves but as a guess I'd say they're likely to be rather older than you really want. I don't know of anything else that might be of help.
