PC Patch Released Today!
Nixxes have just released a new patch that fixes the issue with the mouse not working in the skills upgrade screen that was introduced with the last patch http://store.steampowered.com/news/10414/ Patch notes: - Resolved a problem where mouse control in the basecamp upgrade screen would not work properly since build 742.0. - Stereo3D parameters for strength and depth can now be modified in the registry beyond their normal in-game range again. - GPU performance improvements, specifically at higher quality levels.

Console patches incoming!
I don't have an Xbox so I'm not entirely sure, but I believe that you can download patches and DLC with a free Xbox Live account, so you wouldn't need to pay for a Gold account to update your game.

Getting to the beach HELP?
Try fast-travelling back to the Summit Forest, and going back through the cave again to get back to the lifts. They may be moving again after that.

PC Patch Released Today!
lol yeah Nixxes have been pretty great. I've seen a lot of cheap shoddy PC ports that are effectively abandoned after release, so it's nice to have a company that cares about the players and actually bothers to fix problems. I've just had a go at the wolf cave QTE, and wow, what a change. It no longer fails me for mashing left and right as fast as I can, which is did before. Every single time. If the QTEs had run like this when I first played I would only have been mildly annoyed by them instead of completely enraged. I also bumped my graphics settings up to ultimate because I wanted to see what would happen and Tress FX always borks my frame-rate, particularly during cut-scenes, and after a few tries managed to pass it while the game was running at about 5-12fps. I wouldn't recommend trying to pass QTEs like that though, the game still gets out of sync with the prompts when it's running that slowly. Not surprisingly. There's been a new bug which was introduced with this most recent patch - the mouse will no longer work in the skills upgrade menu (I've had a look and confirmed). When upgrading, you'll need to use the keyboard to navigate if you're a keyboard and mouse player like me.

compass points
I don't believe that there's a compass (not one that I used anyway), and the swirly wheel in the bottom left corner of the map screen seems to be decorative. There's no HUD in the game to speak of besides an ammo counter during combat, so there's no compass during actual gameplay. When I'm trying to navigate I just open the map frequently to make sure I'm still pointing in the same direction (I have no sense of direction whatsoever). You can use the map to set a custom waypoint when you highlight objects, which will glow when you press the survival instinct button though.

PC Patch Released Today!
Another PC patch has been released! It contains a further fix for the Chasm Monastery, and also improves the QTE timing, presumably to make them less utterly infuriating. When I get a chance I think I'll load up one of my saves and see if there's any change to the QTEs. Patch notes: - Resolved situation in which combat would not spawn the next encounter on Chasm Bridge, halting player progress. - Fixed an issue where the block and tackle itself was inaccessible while on the galleon. - Improved QTE timing (left/right movement, button mashing) to be more consistent independent of frame-rate. - Parachute controls are now more responsive on low frame-rate. - Improvements to the 3DVision support, and support for the 3DVision IR device. - Support for Eyefinity setups with multiple display-sets. (for example 3x1 + 1 setups). - Some small multiplayer improvements. - Various improvements to the handling of the last-campsite save. - We have decided to remove the Optional Movie download and instead provide links to our YouTube pages containing those same videos. No fix for the Nvidia issues yet though I'm experiencing some rather ugly graphical corruption at the Shipwreck Beach (though nothing game-breaking) so I hope they sort something out soon.

Console patches incoming!
A new patch has been released for XBox 360, with a PS3 version to follow later. Patch Notes: Single Player • Resolved situation in which combat would not spawn the next encounter on Chasm Bridge, halting player progress. • Fixed an issue in Shipwreck Beach where if a player skipped content they would be unable to progress due to not receiving the compound bow from Jonah. This was known as the “Block & Tackle” bug. The update should address this issue for players who have already encountered the bug. Fixed a similar issue where the block and tackle itself was inaccessible while on the galleon. • Resolved issue where players were able to proceed through Shipwreck beach without the compound bow. • Addressed issues with visibility and movement of sea mines in Shipwreck Beach. • Addressed issue where skipped cinematics were preventing saving your discovery of the next campsite in Mountain Base (Radio Tower Basecamp) and Chasm Monastery (Sacred Hall Basecamp). • Resolved issue with fire arrows blocking progress in the Tomb of Lost Adventurer. • Fixed issue in Coastal Forest where reloading last checkpoint generated an incorrect objective. • Resolved a rare issue in Shantytown where the player path could be gated following a combat encounter. • Addressed a situation while re-traversing the Cliffside Bunker where the world would not load as you exited the roof. • Fixed rare case where gondolas would drop prematurely in Shipwreck Beach making traversal difficult. • Resolved issue in Tomb of the Unworthy where basecamp discovery notification would play at the incorrect time. • Fixed crash that occurred only on Korean Language. • Addressed visibility issue when toggling Square Enix Trailers on PS3. • Polished timing of Czech subtitles. Multiplayer • Improved how Lobbies handle users with Downloadable Content/Additional Content maps, allowing friends to play together. • Implemented additional Downloadable Content/Additional Content matchmaking options menu. • Added notifications for Downloadable Content/Additional Content matchmaking options. • Addressed an issue where a black screen would appear after accepting a friend invite and removing the Ethernet Cable. • Fixed a rare multiplayer crash. • Addressed an issue with empty text characters not displaying on PC and PS3. • Adjust unit of measurement for time played in Online Profiles. • Added an option to search All game types in matchmaking. • Resolved an occasional issue where Salvage Crates wouldn’t respawn after Host Migration. • Retuned Shopaholic Achievement by excluding The Oni General from the achievement requirement.

fire arrows
I'm not sure where you are. Is this the tomb in the Shantytown with the cans on the floor that you can pick up (the Well of Tears)? If so, you need to throw the cans onto the platform hanging in the middle of the room. Then when the platform reaches the ground, go down and throw one of the cans off. Then run back up and jump across to the cage as it's rising up, and quickly jump across to the ledge on the left.

Problem with a wolf
I reeeeally wish they had just let us shoot the wolf. I was all prepared to have an exciting battle with a wolf pack in a small dark cave, but instead we get an immensely irritating and unintuitive quick-time event. Lame. If I wanted to press keys according to on-screen prompts, I would have bought Typer Shark

Problem with a wolf
You may be pressing the left-right keys too quickly - the game fails me every time during this quick-time event if I mash A+D as fast as I can. Press the keys a bit slower, and fully release each key before pressing the next one. I made a video of myself passing the QTE on PC using a keyboard, because it drove me absolutely insane the first time I went though it until I figured out that I was pressing the keys too quickly, and I wanted to spare other players the same frustration if I could

Stuck in one of the last levels
This is a known bug - There's a rather lengthy thread for it on the Eidos forums. If you have the PC version of the game, the last patch was supposed to help with it, although some people have reported that they're still stuck. If you're playing on console, there doesn't seem to be a fix for it yet.
- I cant finish the game!

PC Patch Released Today!
Another PC patch has been released, which fixes the game-stopping bug in the Chasm Monastery, and also adds the ability to disable camera effects like water droplets. http://store.steampowered.com/news/10289/ Patch notes: Fixed an issue in ”Chasm Monastery” where the player cannot progress after fighting the Oni. New community requested graphics option ‘Screen Effects’ to disable camera-based full screen effects like water and blood drops. Fixed last campsite save not always updating when expected. Various small optimizations. Various minor UI fixes. Minor graphics fixes

I cant finish the game!
If I remember correctly, after pressing the melee key (F) to swing the axe, you need to mash the interact key (E). If you're mashing it and it isn't working, try pressing it a bit slower. Also, try turning your graphics settings down if that doesn't work as a low frame-rate can cause the game to be out of sync with the on-screen prompts.

Finished Game but only shows 98% Complete
Check the Cliffside Bunker area (off to the side of the Shipwreck Beach). It seems that this area has no fast travel camp so it won't show you what still needs to be collected there in the fast travel screen like the other areas do. Otherwise, I've seen other people reporting that they've collected everything in the game but haven't gotten 100%, so it may be a bug.
