So I have been running windows 8.1 since last year. Yesterday i get notice on my computer, from microsoft, that i get a free upgrade to windows 10 when it becomes available later this year. All i had to do is reserve my upgrade. So anyone else here that runs windows 7,the latest windows 7 update, or windows 8.1, don't miss out on reserving your upgrade. You can't beat getting a whole new operating system upgrade for free.

I've been playing TRII in my Windows 7 laptop with the tombraiderchronicles.com patcher, and it runs swell. However, it has some issues that I'm just too curious to ignore: 1) Music plays, but goes mute when the camera is underwater, and unmutes when it's not. 2) FMV videos play, but always with a window border. 3) Pretty much all of the in-game text has rough edges, as if it was badly rendered. (Solved, enable 'Bilinear Filter' in the Setup) Any ideas on how to solve these issues?

Is this possible? I've never had a Youtube account and thought it was about time I got one but now everything's connected with Google it looks as if I have to give my real first and last name and I'll have to use this on my Youtube account, or go through quite a performance connecting it with a Google account before I can change it. Anyone know how all of this works?

I like my files in my folders set on Medium Icons. But sometimes when I open them, Windows 7 Professional will most of the time change them to List: Or to Large Icons and Extra Large Icons; without me doing anything. Why does it do that?

Once a day, whether I am just reading my Yahoo Email or I could be on Facebook or in an online forum; the hard drive would start running and then this would pop up. I clicked okay and it goes away but the hard drive would start running again and a second identical one would pop up. I click okay and it would go away too and then the hard drive would stop. Google says it's something associated with the Printer; I don't have any Printer connected to this laptop nor do I have any Printer software for any particular model Printer installed on this laptop. That will scan my file folders on the hard drives and make an alphabetical list of the content of each folder and put it in text word pad or notepad format. I did find one called Drive Inventory and it will scan your entire hard drive or any individual file folder you choose and it will put it in Word Pad or Note Pad or Excel format but it's only good for 7 days!! So I have Angel of Darkness on PC because my PS2 version was damaged and the game installs fine and I used Tomb Raider SCU with it to get the dual pistols. But when I play it after around 2-3 minutes of perfectly fine gameplay the screen turns sideways and starts flickering. When I turn off the game my computer screen is sideways as well but I am able to turn it back to normal and there isn't any problem with the computer. I'm using Windows Vista . Please help if you can. Thank You

Ok I have the program on my computer. Well its been causing problems, the updater it uses won't work. So i've stopped any processes it runs and even disabled it from startup. I tried clicking the uninstall/change program in add/remove programs and it does nothing. I'm running Windows 7 premium home edition

I've been running it for 9 months and absolutely LOVE it. I had to work on a computer just recently that had Windows XP on it and I was so lost on it! LOL! The good news is that anything that works with Windows Vista (drivers, software, hardware) will work for Win7! Not like the XP --> Vista nightmare, that was mainly the the 3rd party companies fault for not getting drivers ready. MS has made sure of compatibility by not changing the kernel version number to reflect the actual version. For example, Windows XP is 5.1 and Vista is 6.0 -- which causes a lot of things to break. Has anyone successful run Tomb Raider Trilogy under linux? I used to play Tomb Raider 1 a long time ago, and even ran it under dos emulator in linux after I transitioned fully to linux. Now that I bought Tomb Raider Trilogy, I would like to know if it can run under linux in any way possible. Since I no longer have Windows OS on my PC, I can't play them under Windows. I didn't tear the wrap yet since I'll be returning it for full refund if there is no way to run this under linux, and I'm in no mood to re-partition/install windows just for games.

I need to get a new gamepad that is compatable with my Vista laptop. I curretly use a Sidewinder plug & play, which may not be very high tech but I love it! Tom had suggested a logitech I think but I gave it a try and didn't really get on with it. What I really what is a gamepad that is similar to my sidewinder, it has 6 main buttons (on the right) and 2 others plus 8 way pad (on the left) and 2 paddles at the back. I upgraded to Firefox 3.5.2 from Firefox 3.0 about 10 days ago and it's been pissing me off ever since!! I've been using Firefox for a couple of years now and this has never happened!! Okay, my laptop keyboard is acting up. Half of it I have to pound the keys just to get them to work. does anybody know why it's doing this and if there is a way i can fix it?

It was working fine this morning. I was browsing this website and a couple of other websites and middle clicking using the scroll wheel to open new threads and URLs in new window under Firefox 3.5.3 and all of a sudden it stopped working. I have tried to fix it by: 1. shutting down and rebooting the PC 2. control panel/mouse/set default with left button on click, right button on right click, scroll wheel on scroll (there is no middle click choice, weird) 3. looking for an updated driver (none found) 4. removing the driver and re-installing it (no effect) 5. taking the mouse apart and cleaning all the dust and dirt off it, especially around the optical area …

When I click on an image or link on the internet to download it; it's automatically downloading it to D:\Documents and Settings\James\My Documents\Downloads why does it do that? it always gave me the option to browse for a download spot and I would tell it to download it to desktop. Now only it doesn't give me a choice anymore, its going to that Downloads folder and it changed by itself, I didn't change it. How do I take it off automatic?!?

Hi, hate to be noob. I was hoping someone computer savy could help me get this to run on my computer. I own the original disc plus the bonus disc. I currently have Windows Vista on my computer. I was able to download the link which made the original game play on my computer elsewhere on this site. I just can't seem to get this second disc to work. I have the original loaded onto my computer. when Andrea right click on a video on her laptop and left click on open with there is a list of programs under there how do we delete 2 video players from that list that are no longer on the laptop?

When I try to play my custom levels it fails to run with message "Failed to run Setup DirectX" I updated my graphics card drivers but it didn't work. I tried updating Direct X - nothing. I lost my trle CD but I'm downloading the XP version - hopefully that will work. This PC was reformatted a few months ago 'cos of a virus - so I suppose it needs reinstalling?

Hello all! My friend recently came back from England and bought me the super awesome movie "Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging". Unfortunately I live in Canada so we use region 1 DVD's, while in the UK and i'm assuming most of Europe, they use region 2 DVD's. I was able to change my DVD player on my laptop to region two, but you only have a limited number of times to change it to different regions; after that it automatically chooses the region that it is on. I've heard of multi-region DVD players and about something you can do to your DVD player to make it able to play both regions, but I have no idea how to do this. Does anyone have any useful info?
