X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1877832/ First this movie makes absolutely no sense. Second, enough with the time travel story arch. There has been too many films lately using the time travel story line. It's been done to death and it only results in a big ugly mess of a movie! Time to let the X-Men film franchise die. They couldn't come up with anything original so they went back in time with First Class and now they used the same time travel arch in this sequel: how so not original! Then at the end after the credit stopped rolling, they want to take this franchise to the next level of bad: let's make the next film religious and maybe offend a few Muslims and Arabs in the process. 1/5

Draft Day (2014) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2223990 I didn't expect much from this film because it didn't do well at the movie theater. It was pretty good especially if you are an NFL fan. It was also moving and inspiring with a good script and a great cast. 4.5/5

Brick Mansions (2014) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1430612/ Why would Luc Besson produce and write a remake of his own District 13 and come up with an inferior product? It's a shame that Luc Besson has been putting his name lately on too many inferior products! What happened to the Luc Besson that made The Fifth Element and Léon: The Professional and La Femme Nikita 1990? I have a feeling this movie would never even gotten a theatrical release if Paul Walker was still alive and it would had gone straight to DVD. 2/5

'Houston Texans trade for QB Ryan Mallett of New England Patriots' Is this trade better for the Texans QB and Offensive Line wise or worse?

I agree about starters not playing during pre-season but at the same time, how will they get themselves acclimate to new coaches, new players, and shake the cobwebs off themselves after doing nothing over Spring and Summer? Back to the Cowboys: even the Texans are 2-2 and we have a QB problem. 3 QBs and they are all no good!

Maleficent (2014) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1587310/ The 3rd act of the film felt rushed as if the producers ran out of production money and they wanted to wrap up the story as quickly as possible. 3.5/5

Oh No! Now I got to dig up my copy of The Great Escape! Like I said when Robin and Lauren passed away. They always go in 3. R.I.P. Mr. Attenborough. at least he had a long life! p.s. I think most folks here will only remember him and know him as the old man in Jurassic Park, Unfortunately!!

I know pre-season doesn't mean much and over the past 37 years, I've seen teams that did well in pre-season tanked into the gutter in the regular season and teams that did very poorly in pre-season go to the Playoffs and even the Super Bowl. But still, so far this pre-season the Giants are on top 4-0 (it's only week 3 but they had an extra pre-season game). The Ravens and the Vikings and the Saints are 2-0 along with the Broncos. The Saints? I hate the Saints! Bunch of Cheaters!
