I think I will officially declare good gaming dead. I had so looked forward to this game (TRA), and it is a miserable failure. You really got to wonder if companies are doing any testing before they put this trash on the market. Sure they suckered me for my 29 dollars. We were promised a deeper game. One would think that would be, story line, character development, better cuts. What did we get? Just more running, jumping, falling, dying and a shooting engine that makes 1st gen games look great. When Natla Changed??! In Tomb Raider 1 Gold! Natla actually didn't changed into a monster after you finish the Atlantis level! but in TRA she changed!!! In the original TR Gold story! Did she changed before or after you beat the Atlantis level??!!!

i know there allready is a TR fan artwork topic, but i thought it would be nice to also make on just for the TR 10th Anniversary with everything in TR 1 style (but it may also be of another TR game) so i ask everyone to honor Lara Croft and Tomb Raider by posting your artwork here ... could be made by photoshop or hand drawed pictures here is one i made, its a picture drawed by Adam Hughes but i made Lara look like the Lara from the TR 1 game (just notice her tank top and hair) i used the background of one of the sketches that was used for TR Legend http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k109/Sla...RAVedition2.jpg

So most of us have experienced the game a bit now.. what do we think of this new addition? Does it mark combat more exciting or does it drive you up the wall? Or maybe you're undecided? NB - it's worth at least waiting until you've completed 'the lost valley' level to form an opinion on this for reasons that will become apparant! I am still not totally sure myself. I absolutely hated it until I got the hang of it. Now I don't mind it so much, but I dislike the way bosses requires it's use at some point. It seems a bit silly in some ways. I did the time trial for Croft Manor tonight and I was hoping for something nice when I completed it. But when it came time to save rewards, it showed nothing had been unlocked. NOTHING i say!!! So has anyone else done it besides me and did any of you unlock anything? by the way my time was 18:26

Well i got it for about 2 days ago. I don't know why but here in Greece they released it quickly. Anyway it's 1st of June now and here it is. The game is great. The graphics are amazing just like Legend. The controls pretty much the same. The wall walk its pretty easy exept if you want to jump vertical on the wall but its doable. The game should be better for those who have not played the original. I mean I go around and I know pretty much what to do. For example when in St Francis Folly and trying to get to Poseidon Atlas etc keys , for first timers should be much more difficult. The auto grab when its off its not handy with the new controls. Ok, the other day that I was playing TRA, (Croft Manor), I went up to her room and got the Journal, then I turn Lara around and Winston was there, standing across in her room. So I was like "Ok" then I got stuck and didn't save the game so I could start all over..... but when I played it again and went up to Lara's room to get the Journal again, Winston wasn't there anymore So I'm confused.

I never did understand it in the original Tomb Raider 1; I always thought Natla just wanted the power of the Scion for her own personal use and she used Lara as a pawn to get it for her. But in Tomb Raider Anniversary; they made it very clear that Natla is actually the Atlantis Queen who shared the power of the Scion with Qualopec and Tihocan until she used it for her own personal gain and Qualopec and Tihocan banned her into frozen eternity. Until a nuclear blast from the testing of the nuclear weapons freed her and now she has assumed human form and is using Lara to recover the 3 pieces of the Scion for her. I mean when you leave Lara alone and the game is still running. I've seen Lara adjust her gloves adjust her utility belt and pistol hip holster pull up on her shorts kneel down to tie her bootlaces stretch her arms and when she is wet shakes her arms and hands to dry herself kick her legs to dry herself grab her hair and run her hands backward to wring the water out anything else?

I thought St Francis Folly, the spike pillar room and the fire room in Palace Midas are hard. This game gets harder and harder as you progress. I am currently in the Obelisk of Khamoon level and I tell you, I am at the very beginning of the level and immediately there is a monumental task of just trying to get Lara out of a room, a BIG room and Lara hasn't even got to Atlantis. From what I heard by talking to a couple of people who already finished the game; it doesn't get any easier!!

Hi everyone. Well the game got delayed on my order from Amazon, but I got it yesterday. I have it installed and have done a little of the opening level. I love it! It is just enough like the original to bring back memories, and just enough different to have a few surprises. I have gotten used to the controls now and find it easy to do, much more so then some of the old ones where the rope jumping could drive you crazy. I can tell already that I will want to play it again as soon as I finish. I didn't feel that way about the last 2. So far I haven't had to use any aid kits so I'll see if I can ad it to my list of TR games completed without using any aid kits…

Hi I was lamenting how Lara couldn't do her flips as she used to. Well I was wrong, at least partly. Lara can do the traditional flips in combat mode. That's the key, when out of combat mode she can not flip but once she is in combat mode hitting a direction key and the jump button does make her flip, just like in the trailer. I feel better now! Mike

Is it just me or does the Colosseum level seem shorter (than the one in TR 1) and a bit disappointing to you?
