I rather like the mouse controls myself. It seems more natural to me to be controlling the camera that way. You can reconfigure the controls in the demo if you'd like. Just go to Options > Controls > Control Configuration.

I made a video of Lara going over the waterfall in TR1 and then Anniversary. I really love that waterfall

You're welcome Phoenix. When you say display photo, do you mean you would like to put a picture below your display name? Go into My Controls and look in the menu on the left hand side of the screen. In the section Personal Profile, click on the option Edit Avatar Settings. To upload the picture from your computer, click on browse in the section Your image avatars. Just look for the picture on your computer, upload it, and you'll know if it worked because it'll appear on the screen.

I had that problem too but

I'm not having such issues with the swimming as I did when I played Legend. I just need to remember that I can't make Lara dive or surface using the mouse... The key to make Lara surface is the same as the one for jump, and dive is the same as the one for crouch/roll. What I really wish for though is a camera reset button. Quite often I find I need to get the camera positioned back behind Lara very quickly, but there's no way to do that easily.

I remember that rope jump driving me completely crazy. Try aiming slightly to the left of the second rope, I found that sometimes helped.

Yeah, the music's great. I love the atmosphere in the level. I waaaaaay prefer Lara being on her own in the game, with just the background noise and music to accompany her. No inane chatter from those annoying assistants of hers that drove me nuts during Legend I haven't found the shotgun yet, but I did find one secret. Lara seems to have a bit of a problem with looking down. The wolves are below you! Shoot at them, woman! Dramatic rope-swinging shot!

Went and played around a bit more I like this new move where Lara stands on top of a pole. Lara has an impressive sense of balance. See Lara's face here near the end of the demo? Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction too. I have a feeling I'm going to be head-butting my computer monitor when I do this for real If you are where I think you are, you have to swing and then jump to another bar, and then jump to another ladder (once the mechanism to make the bars rotate has been activated, of course).

Okay, I lied, I just had to go back and play a bit more ...until I ran into these guys They're fast... quite a difference from TR1 Ms Croft, I like that picture of Lara in mid-somersault That picture of her dive-bombing off the waterfall is good too; one of the first things I did was to make her go over it.

So they don't give you the option of reloading from the last checkpoint but you can't exit and then continue from the last checkpoint. Crystal D, I love you, but man your save system sucks. Also, is anyone else experiencing a lock-up near the beginning at the instruction of what to do when Lara gets knocked over by an enemy? I had a couple of game-freezes there. Maybe it's because I changed the controls around a bit. It looks absolutely great though. I've not gotten very far yet, I'm still exploring near the beginning, but I'm not going to continue playing now, what with not being able to save and it being really late and all. Anyway, here's a screenshot as a special treat for all y'all.

I'm bilingual too (English first language and Afrikaans second language) but also sort of because I suck at Afrikaans It doesn't help that I don't get any practice with it since I moved from South Africa to London either. I also like the controls in TR: Legend; I prefer using the mouse to control the camera as opposed to using only the keyboard. Hope you enjoy yourself here. Woa, Mike, that sucks. Less than 500MB of bandwidth a day? I feel your pain with being unable to download things, having spent most of my time since I first got on the internet on dial-up (and having to pay far more for it than it was worth. Stupid Telscum! ) I'm so so so so so happy to be away from that now... I would never have been able to download the demo with my old connection.

I don't know if there's a way to get the game itself to display fps, but when I want to know what fps my game is running at I use Fraps to do it.

Umm... no. How could the graphics have been a joke then when you're comparing them to games that didn't exist at the time? Like Mike said, the graphics were pretty amazing for their time. I think perhaps you mean "The graphics are a joke", although you shouldn't go about comparing games released in 1996 with games released in 2007. Oh, and Mike said that 1994 and 1995 was when Core were working on the game, not when it was released.

LOL, I was intrigued so I went and looked the co-ordinates up in Google Earth They're the locations of the birth places of all her children.

I unfortunately can't find any North American online sources for it, but for the UK people the Collectors' Edition is exclusive to Game and is £24.99 for the PC version and £29.99 for the PS2 version. I've searched but I can't seem to find if this edition will be released in North America

The Collectors' Edition will have a Tomb Raider documentary, a soundtrack mix from Legend and Anniversary, and a gallery of artwork and trailers.

Oh cool I've been avoiding trailers and stuff like that now that the game is so close to being released. I want to remain unspoiled for most of it. I will, however, be grabbing the demo as soon as it becomes available.

lol @ the "three screamer" thing, I might have to start using that I've just finished The Great Pyramid My stats: I did get that secret that doesn't register though (proof!). I love this mutant I hope there's a version of it in Anniversary that's just as entertaining as this one. Oh Ms Natla, you are so annoying... I like you anyway though. Tomb Raider 1 has all the best villains Now I'm absolutely itching to get my hand on the Anniversary Edition. Only a couple more weeks to wait...
