Someone Made A LEGO Version Of The Blues Brothers Mall Chase Scene. It Is Glorious! If, like me, you were raised on repeated late-night viewings of The Blues Brothers, you are more than familiar with the epic 3-minute scene in which Elwood and Jake lead some Illinois State Police around, in, and through a busy mall, all while cataloging the various things one can buy there (The new Oldsmobiles are in early this year). What better way to commemorate this brilliantly choreographed scene than with a shot-by-shot LEGO remake? First, here is the full version of the LEGO remake… Second, there is the side-by-side comparison video just how closely the folks at Bricktease stayed to the original movie: The original chase scene was filmed at the Dixie Square Mall outside of Chicago. The mall had recently shut down, and director John Landis spent several weeks ramming the Blues Brothers’ Dodge Monaco and the in-pursuit police cruisers through countless windows and walls. Considering that the mall was vacant at the time and probably doomed for the wrecking ball, the filmmakers did not repair much of the damage done to the building. The building lingered derelict for three decades until being demolished in 2012.

Congratulations to the Panthers on their 8th straight win. See? I knew the Chiefs weren't all that! They had a soft schedule until they played against Denver for the first time. I am ashamed that I live in Houston !!

So it seems that the Cricket game Ashes 2013 was so so bad that it has been retroactively cancelled. The game has been pulled from steam, and anybody who actually bought it has had their money refunded. I never thought I would see the day that this happened. Fast forward to about 9 min after you watch the first couple of minutes of it, that's when the hilarity starts for about 3 min and then fast forward again to about 15 min for the rest of hilarity!

I'm home after a 22 hours shift!! Whooooooohoooooo!! There were several incidents of violence and fights and arrests at stores across the country, most of them Wal Mart! it seems that the quality of the clientele goes hands to hands with the violence that occurred at those Wal Marts. Wal Mart tends to attract lower income, less educated, lower social level people to their stores on Black Friday. We didn't have any fights or even verbal arguments at any of my stores. Our clientele are mostly white collar educated higher socio-economical level folks. No one tried to cut in line or physically keep another person from a merchandise or rush the front door in a disorderly manner. Most of the incidents that occurred at Wal Mart this year were the results of people acting like animals, cutting in line and creating problems and starting fights. There are quite a few videos on YouTube, most of them filmed at Wal Mart stores, if you are interested.

I wasn't in charge of buying the turkey this year. Andrea and her Mom bought this free range natural turkey. You mean the Butterball turkeys we had in the previous years were not natural? Were they conceived in a test tube? Happy Thanksgiving!!

About 10 days ago, we woke up to find they had turned newspapers into confetti. Then there was the one night they got hold of one of the extra alarm remote for one of our SUVs and were playing with them. I must had gone out 4-5 times trying to figure out why the alarm on the SUV kept going off. The reason we didn't hear them play with the remote is there were no keys attached to it.

Yay! Congrats to the Carolina Panthers for beating Miami and winning their 7th game in a row!! On a side note: How can a game (Min vs GB, 26-26 OT) end on an OT and tied? Don't they play until one team scores? And.... The Houston Texans lost their 9th game in a row, to a 1-9 Jacksonville Jaguars. How can you lose to a team with a season record that's worst than your own?

You don't get as much vitamin and protein with the canned and cups fruit. Also, they are loaded with sugar and preservatives.

No fruit is safe! A Pennsylvania woman got quite the shock Thursday when she was washing some red grapes and felt her fingers brush up against something slimy. Yvonne Whalen saw a long spider leg creep over the top of one of the pieces of fruit and immediately dropped the colander into the sink. A spider expert later confirmed what Whalen's initial Internet search revealed -- it was a young black widow crawling on the grapes. The appetite-ruining find follows several similar instances of the deadly spiders found on grapes at supermarkets in Michigan, Missouri, Minnesota and Wisconsin, Food Safety News reports. Yvonne Duckhorn was inspecting a container of red grapes at a Aldi supermarket in Wauwatosa, Wis., earlier this month, when she spotted something peculiar. "I saw the legs moving frantically," Duckhorn recalled to the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel. "I've seen bugs on fruit before, and I thought, 'That is a very big spider.' Nothing I'd ever seen before." Duckhorn wrapped the container in a plastic bag and handed it off to an employee, warning that she spotted a red marking on the spider's abdomen -- a common characteristic of Black widows. As a precaution, the chain opted to remove all grapes from stores in the Milwaukee area. In another incident this month in Michigan, 20-year-old Callum Merry noticed a spider web in a bag of grapes purchased at a Kroger store in Brighton. "I looked in the grapes and there was a black widow staring right at me," Merry told ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV. While Merry wanted to release the spider outside, fortunately, his 14-year-old recognized the danger and intervened. Black widow spiders -- known for their red, hour-glass shaped insignia -- are venomous and their bite can be fatal, especially in small children and the elderly, without treatment. It's not uncommon for black widows to be found among grapes, since the spiders often build their webs in grape vineyards. But, black widows are not the only venomous spiders that commonly found on fruits. Earlier this month, a family in the U.K. was forced to flee their home after venomous Brazilian wandering spiders were found on bananas bought at a local supermarket.

2 weeks until the madness is here again and this year will be crazier than before!! Why? Many retailers are opening on Thanksgiving Day instead of Black Friday to get a head start on the sales. We won't open until 4 am on Friday morning. Also, the Playstation 4 comes out this Friday! XBox One comes out next Friday! Everyone will want one and inventory is limited. If you didn't pre-order and pre-paid for one months ago, you are pretty much out of luck!
