Have you tried letting the grapple rope out so Lara has more of it to swing on? When Lara is hanging press the "interact" button along with up or down to make Lara climb the rope.

Hi Crypto I assume you're in the Industrial Rooftops level. There are two other ways you can take to get to the end of the level if you can't get Lara to make the jump, although they both lead to the same place. There's a drainpipe up the wall of the empty warehouse. Climb up it and go back out of the door at the top. Outside the door, turn right and climb up the ladder to the top. Climb up the next ladder and then slide down the roof. You'll find a route to the end of the level. The other way is to crawl back out under the door of the warehouse and go back to the block that you pulled to get the strength upgrade. Make sure the block is positioned below the ladder on the wall. Climb up onto the block and jump up to grab the ladder. Climb up the ladder all the way to the top. Climb up the next ladder and then slide down the roof to find a path to the end of the level.

Hi FiammaNera / Rowan, welcome to LCO! My favourite TR is TR3 because that's the first one I completed and it gave me the Tomb Raider bug. It is winter here in London right now and is pretty cold. I hail from South Africa originally, and it's summer down there too, and I'm dreaming of going home and lying on the beach and soaking up some heat rays You should pick up a copy of Anniversary; I thought it was pretty awesome (I preferred it to Legend, in fact). Underworld looks like it's going to be great, can't wait to get my hands on it!

Well, I managed to stop in for a few minutes after mostly everyone here decided to go to bed early. Sorry I had to make some very abrupt exits though, other people were wanting to get on the computer here. People are in bed now, but no doubt someone will wake up at any moment and kick me off again... Hopefully I'll be able to be there for the whole event next time!

My mom's arriving in London today, can't wait! We're going to be spending the next few days at my older sister's place in Wimbledon, then we're going to Wales for the new year I won't be online very much for the next couple of weeks, so merry Christmas, happy new year, and enjoy the chat event tomorrow night!

The first thing you can try, if you're using Windows XP, is to put the game in compatibility mode. Right-click on the shortcut you use to launch the game (you can use the one on the start menu), and choose "Properties" from the menu that comes up. Click on the "Compatibility" tab, tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose "Windows 98 / Windows ME". Then click OK.

LOL, well as nice as it would be to have some free money, I would feel too bad to sue. Meh, accidents happen lol, yeah, I'm finding it quite amusing now, although it will be more amusing when the stupid bruises go away and I can use my hand properly again. I had fun telling people how I fell into a hole and then showing them my nasty-looking bruised up hand. The flash rather cancelled out the colour of the bruise in the picture somewhat, my fingers went an impressive shade of purple. Got lots of sympathy

It was at night. The barriers were all very neatly stood next to the hole waiting to be put around the hole (and my walking around them is the reason I stepped into the hole. Oh the irony!). The workers were definitely still around because I could see their truck with the flashing lights down the road, and the barriers were around the hole when I left the house the next morning. I can bend my index finger halfway now, and it doesn't hurt to pick stuff up anymore as long as it's not too heavy. I still can't lie on my left hand side though. *sigh* Thanks for everyone's concern

There are barriers around all the holes now. I think I must've come along at a very unfortunate time when they'd just finished working on the hole and hadn't put the barriers up yet. They were working down the road when I fell in (they were in a truck so they didn't see me. Or maybe they did see me and they're just nasty toerags). I'm not really interested in taking action, although I have taken photos of my bruises just in case. If I'd had to have medical attention I would've done something, but aside from being a little battered and embarrassed I'm fine.

The hole was not too deep, but it was deep enough that I fell on my face when I stepped in it It was narrow so there's no danger of people falling into it, but it was still a pretty bad fall. I don't think anyone would have died from the fall, but they could very easily have broken something.

LOL, yeah, my sisters reckon I should go for some compensation I can't bend the index finger on my left hand (although I can still type ), I have a massive bruise on my left hip (I won't inflict a picture of that on you though ) and my left knee is bruised and scraped. Luckily nothing is broken, although I'm very irritated that I can't lie on my left hand side. I don't know about the reflective stuff and blinking lights over here, but the fences definitely should have been around the hole instead of next to it. Worst thing was, the fences were on the bit between the hole and the road, so the only logical way for me to go that didn't involve me stepping out into the road led me into the hole. Not the best thing to happen while walking home in the darkness And, if the fences hadn't been there, I wouldn't have stepped into the hole because I would've been looking at the ground instead of the fences. Doesn't stop me from feeling like a knob for stepping into a hole though...

Dear morons digging up the gas pipes in my street: If they give you fences to put around the holes you've made in the pavement, it might help to put those fences around the hole instead of standing them next to the hole. That way when people try to walk around the fences in the darkness, they don't end up stepping into the hole injuring themselves. I hate you all

I've had that happen, but with other programmes (it seems to happen with Nero Express a lot). When I lose a window like that I use Alt Tab to switch windows, and it'll appear in the list of programmes that brings up. Once I select it using that, it'll appear in the task bar again.

#1) I Play TRA On PC #2) TR1 original had Save Crystals but TRA kept the Checkpoints like in Legend. What is your opinion on this? Do you think this was a good idea? I wouldn’t know about save crystals, because I played on PC which had unlimited saves. I liked unlimited saves, mostly because I’m very uncoordinated and I hate having to do stuff over and over and over because I’m too clumsy. I wish for unlimited saves in all games… #3) Out of the following new features that were presented in TRA, Which of the following was your favorite and least favorite? - Wall Run - Adrenaline Dodge - Balancing Over Poles Also, which one did you master the fastest, and which one became a little bit more complicated for you to get use to? I guess the balancing on poles would be my favourite, only because it didn’t cause me any stress, although I didn’t really care about it one way or another. The adrenaline dodge caused me a lot of stress until I learned how to do it, and after that it was fine. I do find it a bit useless when I’m trying to fight against a whole pack of enemies though. The wall running is fine too, except for the bit where you have to get Lara to jump backwards off the wall. I absolutely hate that move because I can only get it to work about 50% of the time. #4) Interactive Cutscenes made a return, YAY or NAY? If NAY please give a brief explanation. Eh, I don’t really care enough about cut-scenes to think either “yay” or “nay” about their return. I don’t mind them, but I wouldn’t have missed them if they hadn’t made an appearance #5) Cistern and the Tomb of Tihocan have been merged into a single level. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think they should have just kept them as two separate levels? I don’t mind that they were merged, I can’t remember anything in Tomb of Tihocan that I was particularly looking forward to seeing besides the centaur things. I’m very glad they kept the big water chamber of the Cistern though, I’d been looking forward to that level ever since I first heard about Anniversary. #6) Worst remade level was The Great Pyramid because it nearly made me break my keyboard #7) Best remade level was ____________________ because ____________________. I liked everything Except for those timed jumps in The Great Pyramid #8) Did you get to collect every Relic? Or are you still on the hunt for them? I’ve gone through the game with a walkthrough up to somewhere in Egypt getting the artefacts and relics. #9) Which Relic did you find first? The one in the Caves. #10) Which Relic was your favorite? I have no idea… I can’t remember… #11) Relics are used to unlock new outfits. Which outfit was your favorite and least favorite? - Wet Suit - Classic Lara - Camouflage - Catsuit - Legend - Golden - Doppelganger - Scorched Natla - Croft Manor Sport I like the Camouflage, because it reminds me of AoD, which I love for some reason even though it’s not the best game in the world… If I have to choose a least favourite, I guess it would be the Classic Lara because it’s a bit creepy #12) Lara's Wet Suit in TR2 read SOLA on her chest, did you noticed that in TRA SOLA was substituted with designs? I did know that the SOLA logo had been removed, but I think I know that because someone on the forum pointed it out… #13) Did you get to collect all Artifacts? Or are you still missing some/most of them? Nah, I am rubbish at this I’ve got all the relics and artefacts up till somewhere in Egypt. #14) Did you like Winstons new look? Yes or No and Why? I don’t mind his new look, although I thought it was really hilarious how he used to follow Lara around with a tray of tea in the other games. #15) Do you miss Lara's Obstacle Course? Yeah! I really miss her quad-bike track from TR3 though. I hope there’s a racetrack of some sort at Lara’s place in the next game. #16) Did you manage to complete Croft Manor's Time Trial? If yes, do you remember the time you made it in? Nope. I’ve only done one time-trial, and that was by cheating I just get really bored with trying to complete speed-runs, so unless I happen to know a really short shortcut, I don’t bother. #17) Unlike in Legend, in TRA you can go outside of Lara's mansion, Do you feel like they could have added the Quad Bike area like in TR3 or just overall added more things to do outside? I liked the maze, but I think in the next game they should rip it up and build a quad-bike track over it… #18) Hardest boss battle was ____________________ because ____________________. #19) Easiest boss battle was ___________________ because ____________________. Not sure about these two. I didn’t find the bosses in TR:A horribly difficult, which is a good thing because I usually HATE boss fights. The T-rex battle caused me a lot of stress but once I learned to do the adrenaline dodge properly it was very easy. I seem to remember the giant mutant giving me a bit of stress though… #20) Legless mutant make-over...Liked or Didn't Liked? Why? I wanted it to pick Lara up and smash her into the floor and them dangle her by her leg like the one in TR1 did #21) T-Rex make-over...Liked or Didn't Liked? Why? I liked it, it looked good. #22) Natla's make-over...Liked or Didn't Liked? Why? I didn’t like her when I saw the promo stuff, but I liked her in the game. #23) Pierre Or Larson in TRA? Always Larson #24) My favorite level was Ummm… too many to decide… I rather liked Tomb of Tihocan, and the Lost Valley was great too. And Palace Midas. And Temple of Khamoon. #25) My least favorite level was the Great Pyramid because it nearly made me break my keyboard. #26) The easiest level was The Caves because it’s the first level. #27) The hardest level was The Great Pyramid because of those stupid retracting ledges and timed jumps. #28) Anything else that you would like to add or say, please do so now.
