If you can't get the patch, you can try getting some savegames from the Mexico levels. Stella's Tomb Raider site has some for downloading, with instructions on how to use them too. http://www.tombraiders.net/stella/savegame/TR8saves.html

If you have the PC version, you need to go to the page I linked to and download the patch that is linked there, and then install it. If you don't have the PC version and you don't have an earlier save, you may have to re-start the game (I have only the PC version so I don't know of any solutions for consoles unfortunately).

If you've encountered the bug with the first ramp in the Midgard Serpent area, try downloading and installing the Underworld patch (though it doesn't work with downloaded versions of the game). http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=84316 Otherwise, you will need to go back to an earlier save, if you have one from right at the start of the level.

Which object did you find? Was it the jaguar head near the start of the level, or the headdress further in? Stella's site has a great walkthrough, complete with a map, though I'll help if you'd prefer not to look at a walkthrough.

I can't help personally, but this article has help getting Tomb Raider 1 to run properly.

I don't think you can re-open the ball field using the skull puzzle, but you should be able to using the jaguar head one. I'm not sure why Lara won't move the puzzle, but perhaps you need to try positioning the camera slightly differently. Otherwise, if you have a recent save, try going back to it.

Fusion, seriously, knock it off. If you'd just stated your opinion that would've been fine, but you did not do that. With that "I'm shocked" comment you pretty much called us stupid for liking Tomb Raider. You don't get to display contempt for the opinions of others and then throw a hissy fit when someone gets annoyed with you. I don't know what's gotten into you, but please don't take it out on the other members of this forum.

Fusion, what you posted was very rude. You don't like the new games, and that's fine, but why does it shock you that some people do like them? People are allowed to have a different opinion to you, and you need to respect that.

I've never heard of a bug like this myself, unfortunately, so the only advice I can offer is to go back to an earlier save or re-start the level

Are you sure that both blocks are properly on the pressure pad on the left? If one of them is off the pad the door won't open.

I'm at work at the moment so I can't go into the game and check, but I think there's a pressure pad on the floor that you're supposed to put the two blocks on. Once you've done that you can light the other flame.
